Pool Hustler Help wanted

I have 2 million dollars, but I only need 1 million. Please consider me. I also know how to post pictures in interweb forums.

Maybe today, not 40 or 45 years ago. I used to wire money home to my mother because it was piling up. You didn't go on the road to gamble, if you wanted to do that you can just stay home and play. When you traveled for a change no one knows how you play unlike at home.

If you played good and had a decent act, "WOW" could you make money. Bar tables were just becoming popular and you just walked in and took their money. You put your quarter on the table or name on the board you you were in business.

You have to put this in perspective also. In those days a guy was raising a family on $150.00 to $200.00 a week before taxes. A pool player who knew what he was doing made way more then that. All things being equal, it was probably the best paying job he could have. Not to mention the sightseeing and people you would meet places you went. It was a great experience.

Could not in my wildest dream imagine someone doing it today. You could not pay for your food and gas. The funny thing is, way back then guys thought nothing of playing $3.00 or $5.00 8 ball and you got those games all night. You would be lucky if you got someone to play for that today.

Back then a Motel 6 was actually $6.00 a night and a stake dinner was maybe $2.99. Today that motel will cost you $70.00 a night and that steak $22.00. Times have changed, pool hustling is only a memory. When you tell guys today how easy it used to be and what you would make, they think you are making it up. In fact with the bar tables you didn't even have to be a champion to go on the road, Just a decent player with some hustling smarts and skills.
