I went to a nice bar with a few tables when I was living in Bozeman. But that was back when I only played snooker, and before I played pool more seriously. So I had no interest in remembering the name. Won enough drinks to get myself into a bit of rough and tumble. I remember that much about itthere is only a couple real poolrooms maybe two. in all of montana.
Traditional ...about a ball away from the railYou do the kick break, don't you?
1p is a game in a game. Find a regular/weekly game and the fun never ends.I get the mystique of one pocket, I just don’t have the desire. Banks, I could get into that after 14.1. I haven’t played 14.1 in years, just know I liked since I first saw it 30 plus years ago and had no clue what the bell was going on. I knew 8 and 9, I don’t think 10 existed yet. It drew me in though, the 9 foot table didn’t hurt.
I was joking. I have a source that says you are a champion.Traditional ...about a ball away from the rail
There's a 10ft table at a hall across the river where I am. Played on it once or twice. It's not world's apart from a 9ft to be honest. It would be interesting to see 10ball on a 12ft snooker table (well, to us nerds anyway10f? Played on a 12 foot snooker table and 9 footers but 10, haven’t seen in person, I don’t think. Same w 6 ft bar box someone mentioned not long ago. Hens teeth, I guess.
I seriously don’t remember ten ball when I was sub 20, played 9 ball like crazy on that snooker table and I think I learned new words w how the balls got spit back. The red ones, not so much, the pools. Son of a B•••• pocketing a bankThere's a 10ft table at a hall across the river where I am. Played on it once or twice. Nothing else has a chance? How often do you play?1pkt, by a magnitude.
Took me ages to adjust to some of the vocabulary differences between pool and snooker. A 'bank' is usually a 'double' (and frowned upon unless you're a pro and no one will argue with you). A 'combo' is a 'plant'. A 'kick' refers to a bad CB/OB contact and not a shot from the rail. Wow, had no idea the terminology was so different. Yes, played 9 ball on a 12 foot Snooker table. It was entertaining. I don’t know that I would call the pockets curved, if it wasn’t straight in it was rejected like a pinball in most cases.Took me ages to adjust to some of the vocabulary differences between pool and snooker. There's loads more, and sometimes it creates a little confusion.
When you say you played 9ball on a snooker table, you mean 12ft with curved jaws of the pocket? If so, I would actually give that a try myself. Sounds interesting.
I try to play an hour a day, every day.Nothing else has a chance? How often do you play?

I thought snooker was snooker? Not aware it’s different in other countries. Bunch of red balls and some pool balls here and a table that’s a bitch to cut into.
I know this guy uses wider than standard pockets, but still. Does look like fun!
I'd like to try playing American snooker at some point. What table did that/does that get played on? Is it a standard 10ft?
This is what I learned except for the stuck ball thing and didn’t know about a 147 either
