I'm heading to Idaho tomorrow, any good weekly tournaments I should check out?

Beautiful place like that and you want to be inside under fluorescent lights.
Might need an intervention.
My parents just bought a place up there. I grew up in Lake Tahoe, so I've had my fill on scenery. Besides, it won't reach 30 degrees the whole time I'm in town. And the CSI AZ State Championships are like a week after I get back, I need to dust off the cue and get ready!!

it closed a while back. short drive over to spokane for a pool room.

last time i was there it was dirty with unappealing conditions. i think it changed hands in the last year or two. i hope so.

Paddy's is going to be the place in Coeur d'Alene to play pool, they have OK food.

Other food in the area:

BBQ:Drummin' UP BBQ - he closes over Christmas so not sure if he'll be open.
Chinese: Canton on 4th Street
Philly: Best Sandwich Shack
Itialian: Tomato Street

Lots of other places also, but these places have the best food in their genre.

Paddys Sports Bar..... Wed night tourneys,,,they have about 10 tables.
8 ft. Diamonds and one 9ft. Diamond. Good people there.

If you golf, and are there as the weather gets warmer, make sure to play Cour D'Alene Resort.
It's open to the public and just beautiful. They have the only floating green in the world, check it out on google.
It's a beautiful area, the lake is beautiful ,as are the Cour D'Alene mountains.

A short drive to Spokane Washington and go see the sights downtown.
The Spokane Falls /Spillway, practically run right through the city. The waterway is wild during ice out, definitley something to see.
Also plenty of fly fishing and fly shops in both areas to spend a lot of cash in,,,,if you fish.

I know you asked about pool, I had to pass that info along.
I have family there, love this place.

With the weather they're having the last few days, inside under fluorescent lights might be a good place to be. I do agree that entire area is beautiful.

It's settled! I'll be going to Paddy's on Wednesday for some beer and a pool tournament! Are there any players there? Any action?

I left in 2018 and didn't play much when I lived there but I know there's some action. If you show up for the tournament you could ask around, the only pool people I knew from there actually live in Kellogg, about 45 minutes away.

I doubt I'll go out more than once. Is it even worth bringing my own cue?

there is one player in the area that gambles he is an A player and wont rat him out.

there might be some 5 and 10 dollar players but 50 and up is scarce.

i didnt know paddy's had a 9 footer. so that is the go to place.

also the best breakfast is the garnet cafe. long line on the weekend so pick your times to go. its more than worth it if you want food that doesnt come off the commercial truck or out of a box.

If you know the gambler and easy-e is looking for a game, why don't you try setting them up?

And to easy-e - if you like a nice dinner experience, check out the 315 Cuisine (Used to be called 315 Martini's and Tapas). Either way, good atmosphere, good food, and great drinks ;)

I’ll try that place! My folks are looking for the good spots to go. They’re retired now and want to become locals.

It’s probably good that I don’t get into any big action. Some friendly sets before a tournament is all I need.

Let’s get some action going on here! I’ll bet I win the Wednesday night tourney. Anyone want some friendly action on that?😬
