Pool in Manhattan

I'll be in Manhattan on Friday March 8th.

Is Amsterdam Billiards the preferred hangout, maybe for some One Pocket?

Would also consider some 3 Cushion at Carom Cafe in Flushing, Queens.

Does anyone play at either of these places that can offer any input on quality of players/equipment.

I have been to Manhatten a couple of times, and went to Amsterdam Billiards both times. It's a nice room. I don't believe they have Diamond tables though.

Diamond tables at Society Billiards which is a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam. Carom Cafe is around 45 minutes away by car or train.

If you want to play one pocket, Steinway in Astoria, Queens is your best bet for a game. It's all GoldCrowns, but you will get one pocket action there. Especially on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night.

Carom Cafe for sure is the place for 3 cushion. Ask for Mike (owner) or Brian (manager) and they'll find you a game. I'm usually there Friday evenings too!
