Pool in music

The george thorogood "bad to the bone" music video featured an 8-ball game and at the end of the game the 8 ball hangs in the pocket after the guy shoots it then he flicks the ash off his cigar and when the ash hits the floor the 8 ball drops.

The old guy in the video (please, pool gods, no disrespect intended!) is Willie Mosconi.

Quite right. What's bugging me is that a while back I heard this very cool Blues/spoken word song about a monkey who goes into a Pool hall and hustles. I can't Google this anywhere, it was by an older Blues artist who's name of course I can't remember.

Oh, and here's another one, an old Faces song called "Pool Hall Richard".

There is a Cross Canadian Ragweed song that has the lyric "Summer on the coast, a money game of pool..." I think the name of the song is "She's Crazy" or something like that.

Thanks for your contributions everyone. :) Good to know that artists are writing music with a pool theme now and then. Hehe. I'm looking forward to tracking some of these songs down and maybe making a pool themed mix. :D

The one song I had thougth of was, "Half-Step Mississippi Uptown Toodeloo", by the Grateful Dead. The pool lyric is just part of one verse,

What's the point to callin' shots?
This cue ain't straight in line.
Cue ball's made of styrofoam,
and no one's got the time.

I don't know what the heck they are talking about. Some sort of metaphor for the character's pessimism, I guess. Knowing Robert Hunter (Jerry Garcia's lyricist), there's probably some archaic, cryptic, double- or triple-meaning to it. LOL.
