Pool in Par-a-dice

Hi everyone,

I am wondering how many of you that read and post here will be making the trip to Peoria, IL for the tournament at the Par-a-dice Casino? Please let me know so we can possibly all meet up and have dinner or just sit around and share some pool stories. It would be an excellent chance for all of us to meet each other.

We will be there Friday and Saturday.

Sarah, do you know if there is a decent pool room nearby ? We'll probly be too busy watching matches to play, but I was just curious.

I wouldn't miss it. My lady and I will be there thursday and friday. I'm looking forward to watching you play, Sarah. I have a feeling that you will take your first title in Peoria. Maybe it will be this one. You will certainly have a lot of fans there.

Boyd, Willie, and Wally I look forward to seeing you all there. Maybe we can all get together friday evening since it sounds like we will all be there. Hopefully Melissa and I will be playing a winners bracket matches that evening but we can still make time. Melissa, you don't mind getting together with everyone do you?

My apologies coex-fo, I forgot to include the dates in the previous post. It will be held June 9-14. On the 9th I believe there will be a charity Pro-Am. Play begins on the June 10th at 11 am.

I also forgot to mention the pool hall that is nearest to the Casino. I believe it is called Dave's Goodtimes. I am not sure exactly where it is but I am sure someone there can give directions.

I would love to get together with everyone for dinner or drinks on Friday night! I will consider it a done deal....and hopefully everyone can join us.

Open Invitation

Sarah, Boyd, and all other posters

Here's an idea. What do think about an Open Invitation for players\ fans
coming to Peoria

Hosted here at CueSport College. a nice casual ,relaxing open invitation event with h'orderves , drinks , ect.

What night\day\time do you think would work best that would also allow
the opportunity for any of the women playing to also be able to attend ?

Or should we run an open door schedule on Thurs & Fri. from lets say 2- 4 and then re-open after the evening rounds complete.Open for any ideas.

Just be sure that your aren't playing any Canadians. Even worse beating them....

It sounds like a good idea, especially if there is pool and pool fanatics involved. Keep us posted.

Scott Boyd wanted me to let everyone know that his facility will be open to the posters here to meet and play. He will be roaming around the tournament all week. I'm not sure how much it conflicts with players schedules so I can't guarantee being there. But it is very convenient for those of you who were looking for a place to play while in Peoria.

That is a very generous offer from Scott Boyd. Looking at the website it looks like a great place.

Sarah, what is the normal schedule for the WPBA day and night sessions? I've only been to one tourney and that was 4 years ago and I can't remember. :confused:

The first matches start at 11:00 am right?
 
Hey Wally,

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday matches begin at 11 am and run through 5 or 6pm then there is a short dinner break (about an hour). Then it starts back up at 7 and last round is usually scheduled for 10pm. Sometimes they get done early and other times they get done late. It is a hectic schedule. Hopefully some people will get a chance to make it to the CueSport College.

Cue sport college sounds great...dinner sounds great...just keep us posted as where what and when.

Well, how about this for an idea. It sounds like pretty much everyone is arriving friday so we could all meet at the dinner break on friday evening in the lounge there in the hotel lobby. That way no one will be playing matches and no one will miss any matches. If you are going to be there earlier in the week be sure to say hi and everything...you don't have to wait until friday. We could make further arrangements from there when the schedule is a little more clear.
