I'm heading back to Singapore for a couple of weeks come early August and am wondering if there's any recommendation where to shoot some pool or meet people who's into it as well?

I'm suppose to be back for a holiday but I feel I'm gonna miss pool badly...my luggage's gonna be full yet I'm still debating whether to bring my cue back with me..decisons...

There are many pool halls in Singapore but Klassic pool hall is better because the tables there are in good quality. Besides, Singapore national teams are doing training there. U can also go to google n type pool hall in singapore" to find some pools near the place u stay.

Hey, yeah I did do a google but several places came up, cant be sure which is better...with Singapore being so small it doesn't really matter where it's located cos I'm sure they're mostly accessible. Just wanna look for a place with a decent table and pleasant environment. Thanks for the recommendation.

Punggol Billiards just open up 1 Jun, worth checking it out

6 Tebing Lane #01-02

Any other recommendations? I live in the north, Yishun, used to visit OCC like 10yrs back dont remember the place being any good unless they've upgraded?
Also looking for guys interested in playing during the weekdays afternoon..I know it's odd timing since it's working hours... Cos I'll be back in SG for 3 weeks holiday and I'd prefer to avoid crowded evenings...
Just a heads up I stopped playing for 7yrs and recently picked up again..I'm a B grade player at best and C grade player as generally consistency  anybody still keen?

I would like to go too . Sound like a time . But I have to stay home and work on your cue , HUH . Jim

Haha Jim, you're not going anywhere...you're gonna have to stay home and breathe amboyna dust! I'll be sure to look you up to shoot a game or two when i ever drop by your area! I'll bring beer

I had no idea OCC was closed...geez...thats how long i haven't been around in SG...i guess to the city it is. Anybody up for it?

Seriously that sad in SG? Guess I'll save my luggage space and not bring my cue home...

Fusion??

I was last there in October 2006......and every night I went to a real nice place that was real close to the Raffles Hotel.......I think it was called "Fusion"?? At that time tables were pretty new and they all had Super Aramith TV Balls.......I thought it was great.......every time I was there all the tables were in use.....I seem to remember they had about 8-12 tables. Shame if that place closed.

it is definitely not closed. now it have Fusion I, Fusion II, and Fusion III. all along the same stretch of shops.

I would recommend Klassic Cuesport, located at Jalan Berseh, New World Centre Level 2.

If you want to find someone to have a game or two, there is the right place. any time of the day.

Punggol Billiards is the biggest pool hall in Singapore right now and it is not really far from where you stay.

It is kind of troublesome for you to bring cues around, so perhaps you can just bring your play cue. the house cues here can do a decent job as break cues.

poolnoob is a regular at Punggol Billiards and he is one of the rare people here who can play pool on some weekday afternoons.

just let us know when you are back here, we can meet for a game or 2, but do have mercy on us though. :embarrassed2:

Cheers.

Yup... Punggol Billiards is currently the biggest Pool Hall in Singapore as well as the biggest pockets you can ever find. (2balls + 5mm allowance)

I frequent that place often too, mostly week nights.
Nice atmosphere, clean, balls and tables are new.

Finally found kakis....good to hear there's still interest in pool in SG...I'll be sure to drop u guys a line when i head back. As for the part about being merciful...you've gotta be joking me...

In 1969 I played pool and snooker in the lower level of an upper class hotel. The tables were in very good condition, including a 12'. Doubt it still exists.

although we are small on the international scene for this sport, there is always interest in this sport here actually. :)

We also have a small group of cue collectors here as well.
I have organised 2 cue exhibitions for the past 2 years actually.

it is always nice to see more Singaporeans in this forum. :)

Welcome back to Singapore. :)

wow, that sounds interesting..any cue exhibition coming up? I've never been to one...i've only been into this whole pool scene a couple of months back so i'd really love to attend more of such gathering. Surprisingly the scene here in China is pretty good, though i'd have to admit it's a little snobbish cos those who can afford good cues tend to put themselves in the upper echelon...
Was thinking of attending some billard and pool convention in Shanghai in sept, not sure if it's any interesting.

Deondon, thats way before i was born i don't know of any establishment thats still running in SG for that long? Out of curiosity what were you doing in Sg back then?

a friend of mine(Roppongi, his nick here) and I organise the cue exhibition and we call it the Singapore Cue Exhibition.
So far, we have held it yearly since 2009.

Basically it is just a meetup between cue collectors here.
It is pretty small scale as there are not too many cue collectors here, but we do have a common interest: CUES!
We exhibit our collections and share knowledge on cues that we have.

the cues on exhibit can range from 300 to 10000 dollars or more in terms of value. We do not have different levels for the cue collectors here.
As long as you love cues and located in Singapore, you can be invited. :)

Hey cyberrot,

That sounds about right! Would definitely be a very nice event. Any plans to have one this year? Or did I miss it?
Do you guys meet up regularly to play? If so usually where at?

John(JB Case) tells me your an absolute enthusiast, and i see your a case fan as well. Would love to see your goodies given a chance!
