If you like bar pool, you can shoot right down Tropicana to the Rum Runner. I can't remember the cross street though.

You are closest to Pool Sharks. Turn right out of the Orleans onto Tropicana, then right on Decatur and Sharks is on the right in a shopping center at Decatur and Twain.

Neil,

If you get to Spring Mountain Road on Decatur, you passed Pool Sharks. Also located on Spring Mountain is Dealers Choice. Only a mile or so from Pool Sharks.

For the Cue Club, turn left leaving the Orleans. Take Route 15 North to the Sahara exit. Bare right off the exit travelling East. Cross LV Blvd and go about a mile to the Commercial Plaza. You can enter either off Sahara or State Street.

Rum Runner is on East Tropicana at Spencer St. About three miles due East of the Orleans. If you like Italian food, Carluccio's is across the street from Rum Runners. Definitely worth the trip!

If you like 4.5 x 9 Diamond Smart Tables, continue East past Spencer on Tropicana to Eastern Blvd. Turn right on Eastern and go South to Warm Springs Road. The plaza on the Southeast corner has Mickey's Cues and Brews. Really nice room.

Hey Vagabond,

Who was the bankroll for "The Mail Man"? Can't see him playing for that many jelly beans out of pocket. Could be wrong though.

Thanks fo all the replies. I went to the oasis just around the corner on Dectaur and then another little bar to the right on Dectaur. Can't remember the name but a guy there who was a good player told me they had a table in the Orleans hotel in the new Irish pub. Sure enough it was there. Not all the staff seem to know about it seems.
I had a good time at all the places.

As mentioned, Pool Sharks is the closest room, so if you're paying Vegas taxi rates (which is stupid expensive, unless you're from NYC) that is the best room, that is close by.

If you have a car, then I like Mickey's, in Green Valley. It's prolly quicker to take Tropicana to I-15 south, to 215 east, past the airport to the Warm Springs exit. From there, go about a mile or two and Mickey will be up ahead (corner of Eastern & Warm Springs).
