Pool Jewelry

> Greg told me close to 2 years ago that he sold the molds for his jewelry collection,which was as good as it gets for pool,to a local jeweler,but had contact info for them,and they were still doing them. I'll do some scrounging and see if I can come up with a link or other info. Tommy D.

I just thought of a design i would REALLY, REALLY, REALLY like!! How about a 9 ball rack on a ring, using different colored stones for the different balls. I just did a little research and here is what i think would look cool.
Beryl = 1 ball
Lapis Lazuli = 2 ball
Ruby = 3 ball
Rhodochrosite = 4 ball (TV balls, lol)
Carnelian = 5 ball
Jade = 6 ball
Dinosaur Bone = 7 ball (sticking with TV balls, hehe)
Onyx = 8 Ball
Tigers Eye = Nineball

1 up front, 2 and 3 behind it, 4, 9, 5 behind that, 6 ,7 and 8 at the back.

Use this too look at the stones i selected.

hey jam

i have a very nice 9-ball ring and my good friend has a world champion pendent from when he won nationals. they were made in sioux falls south dakota by a pool player for pool players. he is very reasonable. very reasonable. his name is dave benning. he is in his late 50s and is so picky about his work. i will see if i can get some pics of the jewelry on here soon. if you would like to talk to him his number is 1-605-332-1982 the business is called The Gold Mine. you wont be disapointed with his prices or his product. he has been in the business for over 35 years. and he hand makes jewelry for people all over the WORLD. give him a try

Have you ever seen the one that "Spanish Mike" Lebron wears? It's an eye-catcher, too!
I think I have seen Spanish Mike's ring, but can't remember it, at this moment. The next time I see him, I will have to steal another look. :D

There's obviously a good market here for pool jewelry. I'm definitely interested in the pendant I described with the gemstones. I think the combination of the multi-colored stones would be stunning. The 9-ball rack is marquis-shaped, and if the loop for the pendant was large enough, it could be worn on a variety of necklaces and Italian rope cords.

I wouldn't think something like this would be too hard to design as it's a pretty standard shape as far as pendants go. The cost would be dependent on the gemstone sizes, but it sure would be beautiful (IMO). I'm definitely interested.

I'm meeting with my model maker tomorrow.
The trick will be setting the stones with small enough prongs that it doesn't look cheezy.

Bazooka Joe, check out the design of this marquis-shaped pendant from QVC: Marquis-style pendant from QVC

If you take out the middle section of this pendant, it's a 9-ball rack. If the stones were slightly larger than this one, I think it would be absolutely gorgeous.

Anyone interested in really nice and unique Custom Pool Jewelry might want to call -

I have known the Huddelston Family for over 40 years. Their poolroom is one of the best in the mid-west. As well as being a great poolroom and equipment dealer, one of the sons specializes in some very nice custom pool related jewelry. It is the best I have ever seen. Ask for Kerry Huddelston and mention that Tom Ferry told you about it.

This is a custom made 14K gold pool table ring I had custom made. It has a diamond in each pocket to detail the pockets and the 9-ball rack (each ball) are diamonds. The cue stick has a platinum joint to show detail in the cue stick. So I'm sure you can find a jeweler in your area that can custom make pool related jewerly. But it's not cheap.
The pics are not very good. But I'm not that great with this digital camera stuff....lol
