How old is the typical person who goes to an instructor for pool lessons?

Do you get many players who are in their 20's?

Or is it more 30's, 40's, 50's?

CUE-TECH has students from 15 to 85 years of age. Our studies show that the average is 35 years old. Makes sense to me.....SPF=randyg

There's hope for me yet then? :)

Those statistics don't surprise me either. Before 30 they're too busy partying to take the time and still think they know it all anyways. :) After 50 the competitive nature tempers a little and the I'm good enough for my needs attitude settles in. People like me who wait a good part of their lives, due to other obligations, before getting serious, are interested in lessons at a later time.
True be told they are a good idea for anybody who cares about their game at almost any age and almost any skill level.

My take is the same as Randyg's...I've had thousands of students, over the last 25 years, who have ranged in age from 6 to 92. The average is between 30 and 40 yrs. of age.

My shop owner has been giving lessons to this guy who is I think about 80 or so. His game has gone from barely able to figure out which side of the stick to hold. To 3 and 5 ball average runs. With great planning on top of that.

I really wish I started out with lessons.

Everywhere from 8 to 77 with the bigger majority in their 30's. I did a class this morning for a family...Mom and Dad were probably in their 40's and two kids 18 and 16. There really is no "typical" age...when the student is ready, the teacher will be there.
