Pool may be a woman's sport

Pool may be a women's sport first in the pro level and guys are starting to get into this game. It seems that the male pro's or those of a certain organization can't draw in attendance, buyrates and ratings but the women players are easily marketable.

With the new breed of players coming from different countries, it seems that the ladies and their talents are easier to market to the mass public and they have a tour.

The Black Widow is a household name but not many male players are. This is a game of no athletic ability and I believe women should be marketed more.

Perhaps combining male and female players? Therefore, the ladies can carry the weight for what the men lack in...marketability?
 
If one was to Google "Professional Pool Player" and hit IMAGE....you will see that the first two pages are mostly women.
 
Maybe the girls haven't priced themselves out of the market . They are much more eye appealing . Jim

It doesn't take a genius!

to figure out women are more marketable because men enjoy watching women, especially attractive women, even though their level of play may not be equal to that of the highest male pro players.

bingo!...we have a winner.

Some women are household names and I am surprised that nobody is taking the oppurtunity to jump on it.

Start marketing these talented ladies and men will be there to watch and kids will look up to their talents.
 
There hasn't been proper marketing of pool. There are too many things about pool that is unknown to the general public and even the intermediate player, not yet in books or video either.

Did you just say that it's a game of no athletic ability? I think your credibility just got tossed out the window along with your ability to provide hard evidence for your claim there. However, I think you are right about the women.

How athletic do you have to be?

Pool is a universal game that is played by many people...handicapped or elders and even people that use a walking cane.

No athletic ability is needed to play this great game.

If there's no athletic ability to play, let me punch you in the groin, break your arms and thumbs, and make you spin in circles for 30 minutes before I give you a high dosage of speed to mess with your nerves. Let's see how good your stroke is then. It shouldn't matter though, because all of those things will affect you physically only, so you should still be able to break & run on me.

I love California Conceal Weapons Permit.

The consequences would be me having to explain to your wife and kids of just how stupid you are and having to take care of them, for the stupidity you pulled against an armed man.

P.S. You shouldn't be playing pool at all or pretend to be one too, if that is your typical scenario in your pool room.
