I guess it's not enough these days to just ignore a-holes. Or tell them directly what you think. The digital crowd can't just see it for what it is and move on. They have to tell everyone about it. Then tell us what it means to them. Then why it means this to them. Then they hope we can all get in a drum circle and talk about it some more. And this time we don't even know what was said and why. Funny stuff.
If what you are saying is true, and I don't doubt it is, and you were really offended by it then do something. Complaining about it on a separate message board seems like pretty limp effort to accomplish anything other than getting your hand held and your belly rubbed.
Call the schmuck out. You know you saved a copy of the message.
I am going to do something about it.
And I am damn pissed about it and will write whatever the heck I want on this forum.
I don't have to publish his name in the public forum, but I will contact the powers-that-be about his vulgarity in public.
If a pro pool player wrote words such as this person's, this entire forum would be in an uproar, ripping that pro pool player apart about how they're representing pool in a bad way with their vulgarity.
You don't need to rub my belly or tickle the trout, as Doug G. would say. I made this thread because of the double standards there are today in pool.
I could go on about other double standards in pool, like how women are treated in the pool world compared to men. Folks may believe times have changed, but they haven't in USA. Elsewhere in the world, women pros are treated with respect and dignity and not gawked at like a piece of meat. Their talent is what is showcased.
I won't let this Grinch steal my Christmas . Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all.
What about players who are know to do drugs, excessive alcohol, gambling, etc.?
Jason
This is obviously a trap question with a hidden insinuation? What about players who are know to do drugs, excessive alcohol, gambling, etc.?

Tickle the trout? Damn that’s funny!
Merry Christmas to you and you’re family.
Of course it is. Not really hidden though for people who have been around pool a long time. It was responded to with class by the intended target too.
I've been around pool a long time. And I've been around this forum a long time.
Meanwhile, at the pool room or at tournament venues, those who like to instigate on this pool forum are congregating in the corner, watching and listening, and hanging onto every word spoken by the pool player, the same pool player they enjoy slamming on this forum. :grin-square:
It's okay, though. In the end, I kind of feel sorry for folks like this. Hurt people hurt people.
If they represent a sponsor, if a sponsor is paying them money and/or product, this is wrong.
Personally, those who are independent and pay their own way, they are entitled to live their own lifestyle.
Those who are paid or representing a billiard entity should be held to a different standard.
Does that answer your question, Jason?

Well that's a nice cha cha however if they are displaying that conduct in a tourney that is sponsored they should be held to a standard and that should not be limited to actions only at the event ,, in football they call that conduct detrimental to the NFL
