Is this new or a repeat airing of the matches from last year?
I wonder who's idea it was to promote the tournament of champions as the women's world 9-ball championship.
Doesn't matter whose idea it. They did so, simply because they *can* do so. If someone of significance contests the matter then they may drop the promotionally-intended description -- or maybe not. Whatever works for them -- and tangentially, us -- in attracting interest (and sponsors) to our sport.
As always, it was enjoyable to have the ladies completion (or any sadly infrequent worthwhile pool) available for viewing as broadcast or personal capturing for re-viewing from time to time. And such telecasts like today's, are both instructive and encouraging for women contemplating taking the game up as a either a serious or simply fun pastime.
Also, more than a few young fellows viewing such telecasts anywhere on the planet inevitably and correctly conclude "Hey if those gals can play that well, maybe I ought to give this sport a try" and that's a very good thing for us as well, in my view.

The China Open finals was on today-GYK missed 1 ball in the finals and im pretty sure it was a skid. She was also playing slower than normal-much slower. May have new coach who slowed her down?

Absolutely slowed her down.
Almost every shot, she walked around to the reverse angle first and measured out her ideal position, then walked all the back around to take the shot. And her pre shot routine seems toned down a notch as well.
Did she only miss that one ball fairly early? A hanger. Missed it so bad i thought it might have been a skid!
She made that nice kick combo that was not hanging an in no way dead!!

so yu saw it. did yu notice the snooker like tip Fisher used. flat, and mushroomed somewhat? She played so well with that why do we struggle to keep a tip in dime or nickel shape?
