I have been playing around on photoshop with a few pics of some pro players and came up with some nice effects I thought some of you might like. I am going to do a series of these once I have got the technique down and print them off to use in my pool room at home.

I need to work on it a bit but here are the 2 that I got so far. If you have any pictures that you want me to apply this effect to just email them to me and I'll have it back to you in a day or two, free of charge.

why not try to enhance the photo's instead of making them harder to see??

just my 2 cent, but I think these look bad, sorry.
 
Since my better half is an authorized Photoshop teacher, my suggestion would be keep the background, but light up on the subject a bit.

Well, it's not for everybody. My goal wasn't to enhance them, it was to try and make something a little different. You can do a simple search on the net to see the same photos in perfect clarity so no point in doing something that is already done.

De gustibus non est disputandum!

Sorry you didn't like them, maybe next time I will try a different approach.

Yes, I agree. I haven't quite made it look they way I would like yet, but I am getting there. I think the finished product with a nice black border will look good in my pool room but for now it's back to the drawing board!
