Pool player vs Enjoying Playing

I enjoy playing pool. I've only played a few small tournaments in the 90s. The most I've ever "bet" was playing for drinks. Eventually kids and family happened. I stopped going for a long time. Now I've started again, after getting my vision back. I'm happy to shoot. I'll enjoy it even when I'm not the best. *Note...with one cataract completely occluded, and a detached retina in my other eye, I could still "warm up" enough to beat two younger guys in a game, long rail banking my last ball and the 8.*

A pool player strives to win even when playing novices and beginners.

Pool players take no prisoners.

Pool players put the game above the social aspect of the game when it comes to leagues, etc.

Pool players can have just as much fun playing as anyone else.

I enjoy teaching people things, but when we are "playing" it is not a teaching session.

Those are separate sessions where the focus is on the person being taught.
Kinda unrelated but I came across this thread:

and he's compiling stuff but missing lots of info.

such as this empty listing for Apple.

Maybe you could supply the facts?

I would agree with this. You see a lot of people like this in apa. You have a lot of people who enjoy the game but don’t have the time or will to really become the best they can be at it…and that’s ok! They still support the game and play it so they are cool with me. Unfortunately there are many snobs (many on here) who shit on these people instead of just apreciate that they are buying all the things and supporting the game even if it isn’t how pool players like me does
