I'd have to equate the "stone face" to poker. Poker players strive for the "poker face" because they don't want you to know what they have in their hand. It's the same with pool players, we're stone faced because we don't want you to know what we have in our hand. Pull off an impossible shot and you must have that "I knew it was going look" so your opponent knows he's outclassed. It can be very demoralizing when someone hits 2 or 3 real tough ones like they are straight in, all the while acting like they are straight in....Why get excited about it falling, I meant to do that. Missing and showing frustration is an extension of this mindset.
