I consider myself very lucky to have discovered this game. It is without a doubt the best
game there is. You can play from the time you can walk until the day you die.
You can play year round 24 hours a day.
You can gamble, play for fun, play league, play by your self, play
Tournaments.
You can play in tournaments with the best players in the world
no matter your skill level.
For the most part the best players in the world are easily
approachable.
It has by far the most interesting characters and best stories.
Rich or poor it makes no difference in the pool room, it's just the game
that matters.
And there is no game that even comes close in cool equipment, not
even close.
I was lucky to have known and been friends and played some of of best players that ever played the game.. And to have seen Efren from the time he came to the U.S. He
is something the likes of which may never be seen again. That's the way I see it anyway.

Very upbeat and positive way to look at it Jack..The other attraction is, you don't have to be big or strong, like most other sports, to become world class!..You also don't have to have a high IQ. (although it helps)..Most of the worlds top players, are just ordinary people whose love for the game, and their work ethic, allowed them to excel at it! (SVB comes to mind) :thumbup:

PS..Efren and Alex, are perfect examples!

Great perspective, Jackpot!
I appreciate all that you have said except for one little item.
It is my own opinion that there will be someone as good, if not better, than Efren.
It's just a matter of time.
Nonetheless, good post that helps us to appreciate what we have in this game!
 
I guess that's why I'm in the cooler basement year round w concrete floors and walls watching yt and playing pool, tie a few flies. Gotta love the cave, which is another item rarely involved w a sport(dartboard down here).
 
Yes it is.

It is a very good game and I enjoy it immensely. It is my favorite winter hobby.

If the fishing and hunting here in Alaska was not so good I would play it more often.
