Pool, Poker and Pain

Thanks for all the coments Good and bad.

I like to hear everyones take on it. I know it is not something that everyone will jump on board with.

I personally am for ANYTHING that could potentially bring more exposure and money to our sport. Blair and I have been good friends for years. I am rooting for any success to him, and am welcome for anything he can give this sport. It is extremely easy to criticize the lack of anybody doing anything for our sport, it is much harder to really try to get it done. Go Balir:thumbup:

Also, have you watched TV lately? This concept is like way above a lot of what passes fro programming these days. They have a reality show on ANYTHING now.

I bet some of you who are aginst this idea would be sucked into it, you just wouldn't want to admit it. Hell, I won't admit some to some of the crap I get hooked into sometimes. I actually love pool and fighting.

Poker is huge right now, MMA is huge right now, I would LOVE pool to get even half of the exposure that they get.

Here's wishing it will replace " Flavor of Love 6" or whatever :D

Ok,lets just say this ridiculous idea ever came about,People find this amusing for a couple of years then its over. Then what? All the hard work of thousands of people, trying to make billiards a legitimate sport, would go down the drain and Pool would be looked at as a worse joke than it already is.
Good work.

Let's burn all copies of the Hustler while were at it, since pool has declined lately.
At least they would find this amusing, you on the other hand I do not.

Anybody remember "Ballbreakers" (game show). That was pretty lame! Got on TV. Came & went. No impact on pool at all - even though Adrianne Curry was the rack-girl :lovies: :thumbup2:

The idea of spinning (cross-marketing) pool into some other audiences, is fine. It can make money short term, but without pool having some sort of core audience, money, and integrity - it is just shi**ing on our game. IMO

"Integrity" is the key word here.

Pool and poker go hand and hand... just dont see how the mma fits.
