When I was in Vegas a few years ago, I played a 9 hole/table game...

It was 9 custom designed Pool tables shaped like Golf Holes.. But you used a pool stick and a cue ball to play... Golf Rules applied, start from the tee box/head string and get the ball in the hole in as few shots/strokes as possible...

Sand traps and water hazards were in play, and caused penalty strokes...

Golf is my favorite sport/skill game followed by pool so I loved it..

I remember trying to look the company up when I got back from vegas only to find out that they were out of business or just didn't have a website..

Have any of you ever played this game, know what it is called, or know if these tables are still available? Would be great for a Large Rec Room

BTW these were not kid sized tables... They were between 9' and 14ft long I would say and several were shaped like doglegs

I was sure expecting to see a comparison of bar boxes to miniature golf.

I played in Denver about 30 years ago at Celebrety Sports, downstairs in the basement. It was ahuge place, bowling alleys and I think it even had a public swimming pool in the place. They had 18 tables set up like a golf course. I don't know if it is still there, it was fun, doglegs, sandtraps, water hazzards and obstacles. That's the only place I knew that had a setup like that. I guess it wasn't.

The guy who manufactured those table tops lived in Los Angeles. He used my poolroom for several demos. I still have one of his table top golf course in my storage. If you are interested in it, let me know. It's huge, and heavy, fits on top of a 9' table.

Available for pick up in LA only.

Thanks Jay,

I won't be coming to Cali anytime soon...

What was the name of the game/company?

The tables I played on weren't 9 foot pool tables with a top on them (or at least they sure didn't look like it)... They were custom built tables that varried in size and shape... Some tables were only about 4 ft wide and some were 9ft wide Approximately...
They were between 9 and 14 ft long I would say... Took up alot of room...

The name of the game was "Skilliards".

There were 18 tables, all different shapes, located upstairs in the Luxor casino (In the arcade). The tables were dismantled a few years ago, probably replaced with little kid versions of slot machines. (Start em' young) :)

I do not know the name of the company.
