Pool Robot

The robot has a McCready-like sidearm stroke. I wonder if it tells jokes too.

I wonder if the robot programming includes a learning routine. Does it analyze the results of a shot and make corrections for future shots? (i.e. artificial intelligence). If so, it would be easy to test if the artificial intelligence program is working: set up a difficult shot drill and see if it masters it.

The projector above the table would be a cool teaching aide for beginner players.

I noticed he plays every shot at pocket speed, He is very good at hitting center pocket but it looks like they need to "teach" him to use english,. I am pretty sure there was a foul, bumping a ball with bridge hand.

It's a good start, but has a long ways to go to simulate actually playing pool.

It's OK for a master's thesis which is what it was, but it's got a long way to go. I think I've seen better pool robots. Among other things, it shouldn't foul and they need to modify more extensively the generic robot they were using. I'm surprised it's aim was so poor. They need to work on the vision system as well, such as adding a camera along the aiming line.

Man.., people come up with everything..., pretty neat, thanks for sharing.
