Pool Room Photos @ Tennessee Joe's

Just wanted to share a couple of photos of my billiard area. When designing my home, one level was set aside for pool/recreation with a full bath and two spare guest rooms. There is also a patio with fireplace for smoking guests.

We are getting ready to celebrate the Brunswick/Balke/Collender's 100th birthday. The table has been restored from its earlier days as furniture in a Louisville sporting house. If tables only could talk about their past experiences of riverboat travelers stopping by for a quickie.

The head corner pockets are 4 1/2 inches and the foot corner pockets are a little more challenging 4 inches for One Pocket games on that end of the table. Maybe not good for a pool hall but it works for me.

The arrowhead collection on the walls was collected locally. Of course no home pool room would be complete with a picture of "Dogs Playing Pool". My wife painted that years ago.

By design, there is one item missing from the pool room. What is it?

I hope these photos turn out OK. This is my first attempt and at my age---this is an accomplishment.

Initially I'd say the bar and 6 bottles of Jack but on 2nd look I see no support poles. Looks like you used a steel beam instead.
BTW - nice room.

I wouldnt say that, only because his post stated that this level was designed for a pool room. Not that he converted his basement. JMO. Im saying the bar as well.

Ver Nice Joe!

I knew you were a classy guy when we met. I hope to return to Nashville soon and pound a few more cold ones with you. Maybe I will bring my game with me this time. I got "Rack Back" last time.:D

Beautiful room! Missing? I note the lack of a jukebox, pinball machine, wide screen TV, etc. The room is "Just pool mister, this is..." ;) Good for you. It's YOUR room, after all. :)

nice lamp. custom made?

Yes, by a local carpenter. I had it made to hold two 8' florescent tubes. If I would do it over---maybe four 8 footers. But that is just showing my age and eyesight.

Don, I hope to have you over when you come down in May. By the way---I got a bottle of Cornhuskers lotion so you won't get as many blisters from racking.

Sweet room....whats missing is my name on one of the guest room doors!:), and a bottle of Vodka:p

If you let me move in a while I'll bring my plumbing truck and install a wet bar, but you got to give me the 7!

seriously, nice room missing nothing but a close up of that cue case!

Yes, you got it. No TV in the pool room. There are TV's in the guest rooms and a sound system in the pool room but if you want to smoke or talk on the phone---OUTSIDE.

That's a beautiful room Joe! And plenty of room all around the table and what a beautiful old Brunswick! I bought an old Anniversary for the same reason. I love wondering what games have taken place on that thing.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Item missing: I'd have to say would be a table between the players chairs.

Pool room

Very nice table and set up. (Jealous!)
Light looks excellent.

I like the paneling on the single partial wall.

My preference would be to finish the room entirely with this paneling.

(Some might not care for the paneling look - though.)
