i will be passing through both of these cities in a couple weeks, wondering if anyone could give me any info on some nice pool rooms, good players in these areas and possibly any tournaments on sundays or mondays?

Denver

Table Steaks South in Denver has an awesome Sunday tournament. Open 9 ball, race to 5, $22 entry, one pocket on the first Sunday of the month, 1 or 1:30pm start. All of Denver's stronger players frequent this tournament and the one on Thursday night as well.

Shooters in Topeka turned into Deep Pockets and they closed up. On the corner of 21st and Gage is Terry's Billiard Club, they have lots of bar tables and 2 9' tables that are in good condition. Gage bowl has some gold crowns in it but I do not know what type of shape they are in. If you are going to be in Topeka you must go to Shooters in Olathe, Ks. It is one of the best pool rooms in the country. Say hello to the owner Dan Tull who will most likely be in action or building cues when you get there and also Dave Matlock might be working the counter.
