Pool table math in Quanta

Tokarsky, you silly man.

if a laser beam starts at one of the acute angles in a 45°-45°-90° triangle, it can never return to that corner.

I have a book collector friend. He got some books on "mathematical billiards" not realizing they had nothing to do with cast resin balls on cloth-covered tables bounded by rubber cushions. He was quite perplexed. I used to be a math major so I could get part way through the books, but it's hard to see any application of the ideas to any physical situation.

Quanta Magazine said a little about real, physical billiards in the article and they were wrong.

Neglecting things like velocity into rails altering the exit path of the ball,
and the effects of spin when the ball interacts with the rail.

I always wondered how mrs. Lincoln liked the play ?!?

Penrose has an inequality for the size of a black hole.
Hawking theorized radiation emitted from a black hole.
If you want my theory it will cost you.

Everyone else is showing their research.

I doubt anyone here wants anything from you, other than STFU.
