Big announcement.

Daryl will be announcing the final roster addition to the WPBL for season # 1 on today\s show.

Hint: It is a very recognizable name

This player will be joining Earl Strickland, Warren Kiamco, Larry Nevel and Santos Sambajon on the New York Pride roster.

Listen live 6:00pm est 3:00pm pst at http://tunein.com/radio/KCXL-1140-s32214/

I think it is nice what Darryl is doing with his show - but I think there needs to be a little bit more of an in depth approach.

Perhaps that is more like 'investigative reporting' and perhaps that is not their direction.

I know they are educating their listeners - but I think they need to make sure they are not misleading the public.

Not sure if I making myself clear so I will just give him a call -

But it is good to make information available to everyone.

Daryl love the show but would like to know will the shows ever be available through iTunes to download?

Thanks, I left my notes at home and had trouble accessing the internet @ the station. Gotta love live radio! But I did get the announcement in during the last segment. The show should be up on the website (http://www.dsmithpool.com/PoolTime.aspx) in a day or two (storms knocked out power to the station after our show and caused some delays with its upload) for those who didn't hear otherwise checkout the BB facebook with the update https://www.facebook.com/wpbltvcom

Thanks for the feedback. My primary goal is to promote the sport. As far as I know, there isn't a format for the game i.e. live radio in a fairly large market anywhere else and of course the internet allows anyone with a smart phone or computer to listen. The show is dynamic so the direction of the show can and will change at times. I thought about having interesting/controversial matter such as aiming systems  but really I want to positively promote the game. There is enough negativity already around it so for now I try to keep it light.

As far as possibly misleading the public, I'm not sure what you mean and would love to talk to you about it and your upcoming CSI tournaments, The 2nd Annual Southern Classic and 2013 BCAPL National Championships. I'll send you a pm.

Thanks, I'll check with Peggy too see if it's feasible.

The scheduled guest for Sundays show (May 26th) will be Larry Chiborak the founder of the WPBL. Listen to learn more about Bonus Ball, latest news, and other interesting tidbits. With the controversy on this forum, it should be interesting to hear Larry's opinion about the state of the sport, future plans, and the upcoming match.

Darryl Smith's radio show is today at 6 PM Eastern Time. (Sunday June 2nd.)
You can listen live or at a later dat - since it is recorded.

Here is the link: http://www.dsmithpool.com/PoolTime.aspx

Their guest today is my friend and 'co-conspirator in crime'
Mr. Joe Tucker.

He wrote the book on racking (racking secrets) and Is a well known insturctor and innovator in pool.

We (CSI) and Joe have partnered up to present the ABC League
(American Billiard Club League. Joe will explain it on the show).

It is a great idea for buildng american pool. It is only in pool rooms and only on 9' tables.

BTW - CSI has become the title sponsor of the show.
Way to go Darryl - wishing everyone success!

Mark Griffin,

CEO
CSI - BCAPL - USAPL

Thanks Mark! CSI is now the title sponsor of Pool Time.

Today's show will be very interesting. Years ago, Pool Time was on the air for a few months. Recently, I found one of the recorded programs that I didn't know that I had. We had Don Brink in the studio. Don is the owner of Raytown Recreation in the KC area. Raytown Rec is like going back in time to the 60's era of pool. Listen to hear about the top players back in the 40's, 50's and 60's. Don is also a former nationally ranked 3 C player as well. It's a really interesting and informative interview.

Today's show is going to have Allan Sand as a guest. An author and instructor, Allan has some interesting ideas to improve ones play. We are also going to do a preview of the upcoming BCAPL Nationals in Las Vegas. Talk about the WPBL and much more....
