Sean, yes, I've heard Max has some unusual ideas about some events in our country's history. But I agree his clarity of instruction is top-notch.

As to the rest, well, I have no control over how any one particular reader will respond to what I write. However, I will tell you that when I go fishing for crappie I use 6 lb test line, which is always more than enough no matter how big a fight the little suckers put up :-)

They all include a disclosure statement. It's not a big deal, but people have a right to know if you're reviewing free stuff because if for no other reason people should know that you're reviewing stuff that you got for free and that you weren't willing to spend your own hard earned dollars on.

People talk about why pool is small time. Part of that is because our "experts" don't play by big time rules.

I'm relatively new to azbilliards and have been enjoying the site, thank you very much. I do think it would help if there was a separate vendor section with subgroups. Infomercials aka reviews, are irritating at best.

Unfortunately, some people don't read the threads very carefully.

This particular thread is about Max's contributions to pool and especially the videos that are available free of charge on youtube or ustream.

Nosey Rosie just likes to follow me around like a cyber-stalker. It looks like I am going to have to start carrying a cyber-mace to protect myself.

Sorry, I guess I got confused when you said in your original post "...Max has a set of high quality instructional videos out. I *got* a set from Max when he was in my area a year or so ago."

I'm sure you bought the set from Max and this latest shout out was in no way pay back for free product you received. Sorry, my bad.

However, my point about disclosure ethics remains. I have no doubt you will keep it in mind the next time you post a product review on something you didn't pay for, again :-)

I think Lou makes a fair point about free vs. paid product disclosure and then the reader can determine whether it's a fair, honest and unbiased review or just an infomercial.

Joey, thank you for your kind words. I'm happy that you have gained from some of my videos and I'd be happy to learn some one pocket strategy from you :) Also thanks for purchasing my dvd set a while back. You have a fan over here as you are a great guy and commentator, plus an impressive pool player!

Thanks also to everyone else for your kind words.

My one pocket is getting better and still my favorite game is 15 ball rotation... the best pool game ever in my opinion (it's Efren's favorite too btw).

Max was once guilty of taking BIH after his opponent scratched on the break...not in the 'kitchen'. Yeah, he ran 8/ out, and didn't get paid!
