Who is putting on tips in Indy where I can go in and leave with the cue as opposed to dropping it off, or at least go have lunch and come back?

What kind of tips is everyone using these days?
There is a post under this one about sniper tips and they seem like they would be nice to try.

Happy Holiday.

Mike Stacey does a great job on just about anything. If you call him ahead of time he may be able to do it while you wait. If you search for his name his contact info should come up.

Steepletons on Keystone does tips but I had a bad experience there last time I used them. A new guy did my tip and cleaned the shaft, the first time I hit a ball after that I had a bad clicking sound. The ferrule was loose where it had been fine before. I was told he probably got the ferrule too hot and the glue seperated. I took it back and they replaced the tenon and ferrule with a different material, it stopped clicking but didn't hit near as good as before. I ended up replacing everything again in Reno with Mark the guy doing repairs there and everything was perfect. I have used Steepletons for years before this and never had a problem, so maybe this was an isolated incindent, but I will not recommend them anymore.

You could call Airport Billiards and see who they use.

Thanks for all the replies :-)

I think Mike Stacey is closer, but his webpage is down.

I played at Executive for almost 20 years so I never had a need to take the cues anywhere else, although one time I was at Airport and Fred did a tip for me and he did an excellent job.

Happy Holiday and God bless..

If you are closer to the east side; ask Mick at Cue and Billiard Showcase. He has a brand new lathe (from AZB's own BilliardBum), and the tip he put on mine last week is first class. I think they used to do them there by hand, and the new lathe is a dramatic improvement. Call ahead and I'm pretty sure he will put it on while you wait.

Kenny Wilson at Mr & Miss Cue did one for me while I waited.

Moori tip - $20

He does good tip work

Has anyone run across any contact info for Mike? His website appears to still be down.

Also, do any of the places mentioned previously in responses have those sniper tips?
