How is the price of Go Go juice effecting your Pool Playing

Not at all. I still play poorly. I think if gas went down, it would be the same.

And with Starbucks at $3.00+ a 16 oz cup (about ~$25.00 a gallon), milk running about $4.00 a gallon and OJ at about $5.00 - gas is almost a bargain.

No matter what I have to buy gas. Like Hu said, you have to make up the difference somewhere else. Eating out one less meal a week does the trick for me...

In Germany after you do the math converting the Euro to the $ and liters to galons it works out to be about $9.00-$10.00/gallon, so it aint to bad here.

For a lot of reasons, none to do with Bush, the US is no longer the world's foremost in anything but military might and some would debate that. Regardless, we can't dictate terms to anyone with the same clout we did even twenty years ago and we probably won't ever be able to again in our lifetimes.

We actually traveled dirt cheap this trip

This trip was actually dirt cheap. Overall we ate a little cheaper, we stayed at Holiday Inns on accumulated points and never paid a dime for a room the entire trip, and here is the painful part for you, we ran sixty-five in the sixty-five mile speed limits and only sixty-seven or eight in the seventy and seventy-five mph speed limits. Backing off the loud peddle that little truck averaged about 22mph including a lot of mountain and low speed driving, not bad at all. Of course I think that Porsche of yours will idle a little rough under seventy-five!

Hell yes the price of gas has hurt my pool play!

Well, I might as well try that as an excuse for my recent dire displays. I get tired of blaming my messed up knee!

Seriously though, I'm trying to convince my wife I need to get some 2 wheeled transport for work, etc. We looked at a big ass scooter last week & the salesman was telling us how much shopping you could fit under the seat. All I was thinking was whether my cue case would fit in there!

Well, every now and again I have to let her stretch her legs and all.
But I'm always respectful of the speed limit. Especially when the radar detector is going off

Good discussion. I've never understood the argument of comparing gas prices to water etc. I can choose to cut back or stop using most other products I have to buy gas.

Someone said the other day that It may be cheaper to start filling up at the liquer store...

When it hit $3.25 it officially got out of hand IMO...

I think it's all a scam anyway...They jack it up a bunch so everyone freaks out and then after everyone has freaked out to the point that the "boycott a specific gas company" email chain starts going around again they lower it back down and everyone goes back to normal.

Meanwhile what they lower it back down too is slightly higher than it was before the "gas jacking" began.......repeat scam in six months...
