bill, the frequency of wins just depends on the weakness of opponents.

in both if opponents are exactly equal to you, then you both will win an equal amount of times. over a long period.

pool you usually have a bigger edge per game if better. but at cards you get to make more bets in more hands to let your edge build up.

Over distance the better player always wins.
Short term. A bad poker player has a better chance than a bad pool player.

I always say it takes much longer to figure out you are in a bad game playing poker than in pool.

Simply put, it feels like when a pool player loses $5 it's waaaay worse than one poker hand losing 5.

The former you don't have to be the best, if you can bluff.
You can't bluff playing pool....the ball goes in or it don't.
