Pool's next big thing!

The UFC and The Ultimate Fighter. That single reality show pretty much saved the entire sport of MMA in the United States, which is now a multi-billion dollar industry.
I really believe that that sport has been heavily promoted and if anything is said to have made that sport rise to the top I would say it was the cage which they got from wrestling , and no question people love a blood bath in a cage

Pool obviously is not ever going to offer that kind of entertainment unless they jump up on the table and start beating each other with their sticks
But it could bring in some interest and sposership the question is to whom will it benifit other than those directly involved which is about all Duck Dynasty is doing for the sport of duck hunting

A reality show about pool...

If made?..Will just be a TV show about a game.

If the average viewer places this in context, and there is a solid idea with solid production..the pool industry will have a hit.

Any of theses shows currently in development will be about a game, simple as that. We don't need to make it more complicated than it is.

Shoot Pool & Have Fun!

Key characters will be big apes with full sleeve tattoos and cigarettes drooping from their mouths, the women will be Tonya Harding wannabes, they'll have near-fights, affairs, and so on.

What was your problem?

How about a miniseries about a high school physics teacher who is told that he has cancer and realizes that he has no savings to leave behind for his family? He tries to figure out how he can earn fast cash using his background in Newtonian mechanics and discovers that he can become an excellent pool player. I think there are some possibilities here. ;)
