Poor Shane is Trapped !

trapped for 15K. things could be worse.
I agree - I'd take that deal but to put that in perspective Max Scherzer just signed a contract with the Mets paying him $40 million a year for 3 years. In 2021 he threw 2,821 pitches. If he repeats that in 2022 that comes out to $15,300 per pitch.

I'd throw a pitch for the Mets for 15K!

I wouldn't say Shane has had his "A" game in the Mosconi Cup when played in the USA, but his record has been quite a bit better here than in Europe.

For singles and doubles matches combined, Shane has participated in 37 Cup matches in the USA and has been on the winning side of 20 of them (54%). In Europe, he has participated in 44 singles and doubles matches, and has been on the winning side of 13 of them (30%).

Yup, that's about how I see things. He has been, more or less, adequate on home turf, but for a player that has been ranked among the world's top five for most of the last decade, he still has underperformed. I honestly don't think we've ever seen Shane's "A" game at the Mosconi.
