Are these things worth the money?

How do they work? I gather one "pull up" to clamp and "pushes down" to release. I'm having trouble visualizing how pulling up clamps a tip down onto a ferrule.
 
I dont believe so. However every other thing that porper makes is well worth the money. I always use a larger size tip and them trim it down to size.
 
I bought one and mine only worked twice and broke,so I would say save your money and buy something better.
 
Personally, I have never found the need for a tip clamp with ca gel. Hold the tip for a couple minutes with light/medium pressure and its enough to leave it to finish drying on its own. I have never had a tip come off after I started using superglue gels, but had several come off with 2 ton epoxy and a tip clamp...... :rolleyes:
