This now makes it a little harder to decide if a cue is Rich Q or Abe Rich as they can be pretty much identical. But at least it will slow down the false Bushka or Paradise claims.
Yes, they can be very identical.
And even nearly identical to some other makers, like early Mali cues and early Viking cues, and more.
But between Abe and Saul's shop? I think that at least early on Abe used the same suppliers, same methods and materials, which would make sense because that is what he knew.
At least in the bottom end cues it can be impossible to distinguish them.
Many want Abe's name on it because it boosts the perceived value, but at the low end that really isn't much difference.
These kind of cues are a great introduction to collecting for many. I recently let a beautiful one go for very cheap to a friend. It was a Starfire Jet in nicely figured BRW. I generally don't sell, but he wanted it, and he has been a great cue friend.
This catalog is really nice to have. I do wish we could get a date on it.
