Here's mine.

Just picked this up from Rick's shop last week. Completely refinished, rewrapped with black boar hide, 2 shafts (one with Aegis, one with Ivory). Great balance, and really unique color scheme.

Joel Hercek owned this cue at one time....as did the former World 14.1 champ, Mr. Neville (I think I spelled that right).

Thanks. The cue isn't ebony, though....it's a medium dark cocobola....but my crappy camera setup won't show much other than stark differences in color.

I'm really impressed with the cue...and the joint is pretty cool, too. It's an older canvas based phenolic. Looks pretty nice, and has some funky grain to it.

All in all, I like the cue alot. It's my first Phillippi...and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Well that cocobola is really dark,i am sure under the light you can see the grain and color better, its a very unique cue,how does the boar hide feel, like lizard or leather?

A little of both, really. Has the firm feel of tightly wrapped leather...but the "grain" is far more pronounced, like lizard.

Feels really cool, I think. And I do like the looks of it. It's different than the norm, and I'm a big fan of that!! :)

My for cue

Here are pictures of my Phillippi. I traded it away shortly after having Rick refinish and rewrap the cue. I know the wrap was different but I liked it and so does the current owner of the cue. I often wish I had not traded this cue.

it's a great hitting cue as well. i bought this cue back in the early 90's from joel hercek when he was called healthware fitness and billiards. he was fantastic to talk to about cues and gave me a good education.
