Pro taper is when the shaft stays the same diameter for a few inches..
..to accommodate your BRIDGE hand.
I feel the taper of the shaft should accommodate the CUE BALL.

FYI
It was not the powers that be who changed you from red to green.

If you open your User CP, that you can find at the top of any page, you will see Latest Reputation Received and a list of those who gave you rep points. You may have to expand the list by clicking the down arrow next to your total points.

Thanks Mr. Wilson, and I really haven't thought anything about a pro taper. If the shaft has a few knicks in it to slow me down that's what I like.
