Post your Art Cantando cues

Hello,
I think the best way to honor Art on this forum is to post his work so everybody can appreciate it.
I do not have the privilege of owning one of his cues but I know that a lot of Az'ers do own his work. If you have pictures of Art "in action" post them as well....

I'm lucky enough to own 3 of them. I'm dumb enough to not be able to post them. I'm smart enough to have a friend who is. He lives 10 hours ahead of me. PoohKiller please post all 3 Cantando's(email me if you have questions). David the only pic we have is DSCF5515(Guess i'm not so smart).

When I get back to Vegas in a week I will take pics with a real camera and do my best. I think its important to show as much of Authurs work in one place as possible, in his honor.

Perhaps in a couple weeks Barry could write a bit about Authur and his history as a cue maker to accompany the images. I will ask Barry when the time is approiate. With Barrys and everyones input and pics this will really be special. Perhaps a Sticky in the Cue Gallery forum.

This will be a fantastic thread to honor Mr.Cantando,

Tribute to Arthur

I have to say that it is thanks to my buddy Steve, aka Tikkler, that I got to know Art as a person. Here are a few pics of his work and a few great pics of Arthur and what he loved.

3 cues currently owned by Stan Haines:

A few that I have owned:

This was a younger Arthur and his most prized kill:

Another conquest taken with a bow and arrow:

Art, his lion, Marilyn Monroe, Single malt, and an honored guest. Thanks Art!

I would like to do an Art Cantando tribute/memorial display at the Midwest Cue Show in honor of Art. I know there will be at least 7-10 of his cues there. If someone could volunteer to do a nice collage of the pictures of Art posted here that would be great. I will not have time to do it before the show as I am traveling for work next week.

We could send the collage and pictures of the display to Barry after the show. What do you all think?

Great idea. Perhaps I can call Steve, Sean, Doug, etc and get an email with the high resolution pics and blow it out to a good printer.. Kinkos has some large printers where that collage can be done.
I can try to help if you want me to Jamie.

Jamie:

I will have these two with me at the show, and perhaps one other. Feel free to use these photos in a collage. I have photos of at least 10 other Cantando cues I have owned over the years. I will post photos of the same to this thread later today. Feel free to use them as well.

Here are the pictures, I found two, luckily I could get the sister cue of Tikkler's AC out by zooming into a pic, the picture is fine, but it won't do any justice to the cue, though, it is incredibly beautiful.. The other picture is of the two other cues, all three were superb.

Rest in Peace, Art.

I'm thinking of a photoshop collage of picture of Art and pictures of his cues on a large foamboard that can be displayed with the cues. Can you do this Tony?

i met art about 10-11 years ago in tacony billiards in PA. this was when i first started repairs and was considering making. we had a nice chat about making and what goes into being a great maker. very nice guy with a very unique sense of humor. when i visited barry a few months back he called art on the phone to bust some stones. good times.

very very very underrated as a maker. he will be missed.
