I just got a good idea (they don't come ofter :)). Since we have a bunch of members contributing videos recently to the forums, if you have the capability to record a break and run, lets see it!!!

Pick a game of your choice (8ball, 9ball, etc) and catch a break and run on video, upload it to the web on a video hosting site (You Tube, Google Video, etc) or any other way you can host it and share the link with everyone.

Hopefully we will be able to get a nice little library of runouts here to share with each other. This way we can have a thread that contains all the videos and if this takes off well we could have Wilson make a sticky of it for new members and old members.

I wish I was able to post one with this new thread but I am not home and posting this from my cell phone. Just didn't want to forget about the idea. I'll get one up this week.

Edited to add my 9 ball break and run: http://balisong.theasylum.org/IconOfSin/Misc Clips/9 Ball Break and Run 1.wmv
Edited to add another 9 ball break and run: http://balisong.theasylum.org/IconOfSin/Misc Clips/9 Ball Break and Run 2.wmv
Edited to add a 8 ball Break and run: http://balisong.theasylum.org/IconOfSin/Misc Clips/8-Ball Break and Run 1.wmv

This brak-and-run isn't anything special. Pretty much connect-the-dots, but my camera still had life in it and figured I'd record a few practice runs. Here's what she got:

Funny you should mention your camera had life in it. My batteries died while trying to nail one yesterday. :(

Will check out your video when I get home. Work frowns upon streaming video on there network.

Nice out! Kinda weird how when you break the camera doesn't pick up the sound for 2 full seconds after the break?

Nice shot on the 5 ball caroming it off the 6 into the corner.

Nice out man!....I noticed you turn your head back and forth when aligning your shots....I do that too for some reason!:D

Could you all mention what kind of camera you used for the videos? I'm considering buying one and would like to associate the brands with the videos.
Thanks,

Pretty humble Steven, that run could easily had gone astray, especially on the first ball and from the 6 to 7. You played every shot about as well as they could have been played. :thumbs up:

Thanks,

I was in looking at video cameras the other day.Make sure you get one with a decent shutter speed for fast moving pool ball clarity.Talk to a camera expert and tell him you want one for pool and he'll fill you in on the details.
RGood luck.
