I'd love to see more videos posted, since I'm striving to become a better 3c player in my spare time. Maybe we could pack this with every video we can find of matches, highlights, shots, exhibitions, etc. and have it made a sticky...?

AWESOME!

Funny story...I was emailing propoolvideo saying, "you guys are great, but you should really have some 3c videos..." Then I went back to watch some more and noticed they DO have a few. So I emailed them again saying, in short, "my bad."

Thanks for posting - those are great videos, especially the Mike Kang and Cho ones.
Irony of ironies - I actually drove down to Doral Billiards recently (where I think these were filmed?) from West Palm to play on the Chevillottes there. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was $11 an hour to play for one person, with the price only getting better the more people you add. Now, I'm not anyone to tell another how to structure his price scheme, but the last time I played in Lee/Kang's room in NYC a year and a half ago I think it was $6 or 7 per hour. Funny. Another reason to take South Florida with a grain of salt.

There is a crappy joint in my area, one of the few with heated tables, $14/ hr:eek:

The first has a good range of standard fancy shots, but it looks like the guy has never thought to clean the balls.

And the cushions act sticky, too.

(Welcome back, Bob.)

Here a couple of videos you might enjoy. Second one is Sayginer and Jaspers.

I see the gentleman in the first video has his own custom set of measles balls. :) Table conditions like that are always painful to watch, but it did allow that nice 4-rail masse to come in short. Now, my local room tables don't seem so bad...

The second has one of my favorite Blomdahl commentary moments:

"Now he's invited his Dutch friend to the table. So...if he misses this, I will sing something in Swedish."

After watching one of those videos I followed a Youtube link and watched Blomdahl make a two-rail first around the table shot, announced by Jan Carl and Robert Raiford. Whoa.

Hi Eric:

In this thread I have the layouts for all the shots from the video.. Please check it out.

http://pl.cuetable.com/showthread.php?t=329

I have interviewed Michael Kang who was in the audience at the time. He has share his insights to teach beginner/intermediate players how to shoot each one of them. As soon as I have everything organized I will publish it.

I would like to invite volunteers to trascribe the shots from any videos onto 3cCueTable to share with all billiard fans and help improving their games.
