Pounding on the Top rail/Foul

I think this should be or maybe already is a foul.

When a ball is rolling, and shooter feels the ball might run ''slightly'' long so he pounds/vibrates the play surface using the top rail.

Foul in my department.... is there anything in print saying this?

Vibrations definitely slow a rolling ball.

Vibrations don't 'definitely slow a rolling ball'. Vibrations tend to reduce friction and increase motion.

Tell me more about vibration and wave theory.
I have this speaker at my house that has incredible sound when I do HQ music and get the EQ right.

Doesn't work very loud though, the distortion appears far too early.

I often put my face right in front of it and it makes my eyelids quiver.

Similar to a player who after missing a shot, taps (or harder) his cue on the table cloth in frustration. Just an extremely bad habit. If you wish to abuse your cue after a miss, don’t involve any other pool equipment that is not yours!
Oh, but that means you can?!

It's obvious some guys only play pool in pristine environments but that late night club action is pool too and it's THUMPIN
