I received my dvd yesterday and im impressed with it,.,for the money its a great buy,.,V2 is longer, better quality, more descriptive, and lots of bonus and extra features, they also added background music to it which imo draws your attention more,.,.,V2 has more segments to it and a big one I think is "returning the break" which is a tough decision to make imo,.,and scott shows different shots and ways to look at the rack to give you an advantage rather than selling out,.,.,he shows multiple break methods and shows ways to be offensive and defensive in a game,,.,bonus features are good as well,,.,.,imo its a great dvd for the money and I highly recommend it to all skill levels,.,great job to fast lenny and scott!

maybe others can add their input or thoughts about it

I agree, the quality here is top notch.

My only gripe would be I wish the tape was longer.

It also doesn't play super well on a PC for some reason.

I would get VLC player to play DVDs on your PC instead of Windows Media Player. Also make sure you go into Chapters and manually select Road Stories, Shot Stories and the Player Review. Mistake by the editor and myself for not catching it before we put it out there. We will be sending out an email to everyone so they know how to access everything. There is over 3 hours of content and we had to drop down the quality on it a bit but its still good, might release another version without the player review on it and have that accessible online as a download only. Enjoy!

Thanks for the review. I know some will like the background music and some will not, wish we had an option to turn it off or on but that was above the pay grade, haha. Digital access to all those who pre-ordered will be available in a 2-3 days. 3 hours of content is pretty tough to beat when other DVDs are comparably priced and usually an hour or less. I strongly believe in putting out something I would buy and also feel I got my monies worth for.

P.S. We are going to be doing the draw this week for the Scott Frost player polo he has worn in tournament play. Thanks to all those who pre-ordered.

I just received mine yesterday. I will definitely post a review after viewing it. I had a chance to talk to Scott briefly about it and he is very confident this DVD will be of great value to players of all skill levels. He, too, wanted to put out something worthwhile and not just an hour or so of Mumbo-Jumbo BS to make a quick $40 like so many others have done.

This is what we did with the first one with 90 minutes of content and now with V2 it is over 3 hours.

I'm confused. Does this one cover everything that was on DVD 1, or do I still need the first one in addition to this one?

The first one is its own DVD made around 5 years ago. This DVD covers new stuff. The first one was 90 minutes long and Volume 2 has 3 hours of content. Those who bought the first will surely recommend it and there are lots of reviews on here to read.

That's good to know.

I was more than a little miffed when a certain high-profile ex-pro came out with a new DVD that was close to half-filled with footage that was taken from his previous DVD. It weren't worth the price the first time, so seeing that I paid for the same info twice was not a welcome discovery.

The only thing we did again was racking and breaking because we wanted to show some other breaks. We don't milk it and move along quickly with info so don't blink because you might miss something, I always recommend people to watch them a few times and watch them again as your game progresses and abilities.

yes

I am curious if anyone who has the video and who saw the DA / DS match last week can comment on value of both. I have had the pleasure of playing Scott and it was not fun for several reasons. I am still talking about the 15 hours of lessons I basically got for $25 last week. It was like being in the mind of the players and learning everything from strategy, correct shots, wrong shots etc... I think I would have easily paid double looking back on it.

My only point is what has more value from a learning standpoint, the video or 15 hours of SF commentating on that match?

The 1st DVD was worth every penny and I am definitely going to get the new one. Does anyone know if the DA/DS was recorded and is going to made available?

its one thing to watch and see what the players do,.,i think that also really helps tremendously but in the dvd scott explains "why" and the reasoning for it and explains what hes doing to perform the shot (English, speed, etc),.,watching a high level match is great but they don't explain what there doing so all you can do is see the shots they make but they don't explain why they took that shot over another shot if that makes sense

He was on the stream doing the ole play by play and explaining everything.

i seen it..scott did commentate..but theres more info he describes in the dvd...for example he shows break methods that were not used in that match and why you possibly may need to use another break method...just an example..dvd has helpful information but if you feel watching matches is where you gain most knowledge feel free...for what it cost the dvd is another source information that can be used to help improve your game imo..

I would say get all you can if you really want to learn the game which includes commentated matches by top one pocket players. I believe this is a bit different, also Scott does a player review of three racks against three different opponents so it is commentary but him commentating himself playing. You will certainly gain valuable info from either.
