Set up:
- 9' Brunswick Medalist
- Simonis 860
- Aramith Pro Balls
- Triple shimmed pockets [2 balls will not fit]
I shot this for 15 minutes which was right at 40 shots. [Video was rolling the whole time as well].
- I didn't notice the 3 ball in the middle of the table, so I set this up just slighlty different. I put 3 balls on the end rail. If I didn't score a 10 or 20, I just gave myself 3. Oh well.
- Object ball was just short of being the third ball out. That is, it was 2 full balls, and most of the third ball off the rail (about 1/32-1/16" from being 3 full balls out). Just a little harder than you diagrammed, but only marginally so. I marked this spot with a paper reinforcement.

- I only shot one side, as I started to lose focus.
- I didn't think it was that tough of a shot really, so I shot this with my jump break cue
- turns out it is somewhat difficult on my table.
Results:But of the 18 I missed, I drew 11 of them into the "20 zone." Many of these 11 would have scored on a friendlier table, but my pockets are so tight that the shots just jawed and bobbled out. In fact, on a friendly table, I would be worried about scratching in the side pocket, as even on my table I was able to hit the side pocket point a few times.
- 4 twenties
- scored 10 points 7 times (one was sooo close to a 20! it just feathered the ball)[if it was on line to hit the ball, but stopped just short, I still counted this as a 10]
- pocketed the ball and got a "bad" score 11 times (i.e., gave myself a 3)
- missed 18 times (2 quite badly - including a miscue)
So officially my score was 183 in 40 shots (15 minutes). Which "equates" to around 366 for 30 minutes. I figure I would have at least another 200 points on a table with bigger pockets. But c'est la vie!
Percentage-wise:
10% was a 20
17.5% was a 10
27.5% was a 3
[55% make percentage]
45% missed.
Pocket normalization (adjusting for bigger pockets): +20% lol!
I'll give away the "secret" if anyone wants to learn this shot. And I'll post the video of all 40 shots if anyone really cares to see it. I was kinda bored watching it, and I was shooting, lol.

[edit: FWIW, on a table with huge pockets you can actually scratch in the top pocket with draw on this shot. Same goes for "normal" talbes if you move the object ball out about 1/2 more ball-width...]
Thomas,
I failed to reply to your post. My apology.
That is some great shooting.
If you still have the video and the "secret" to share, I would love to hear it and see it. FTR, I know from previous information and what others have said about you and believe everything you have said.
4- 20's is simply fantastic.
Today, I just happened to show the shot to a friend who promised that he could regularly make the shot and would often scratch in the corner pocket (a 20+ ). He says he would do it using low left. He didn't have his cue with him and I told him to call me when he can make a 20 on our Diamond Tables at Buffalo Billiards and he promised it would be no trouble.
Thanks,
JoeyA
