PPV Streams Are A Crap-Shoot

They have had many issues with their stream from the U.S. Open for one. Johnnyt
I remember the US Open problem, hotel internet prolem. I cannot remember any others.
Since the MIH events are at Pat’s home room, Sandcastle, I quess he has worked out all the bugs.

IMO, talking negative about anyone, or anything in pool started years ago in poolrooms. If you saw a friend getting hustled and didn't have a chance...you mind your own business. Even if you know he is going to lose his wife and family and the house.

If you know someone is air barreling...say nothing.
Someone moves the balls while the other players in bathroom...say nothing.
You know a con artists selling "the silver bullet" to new players...say nothing.
1000's of pool players and fans are getting screwed by a greedy few...don't you dare say anything but good things about them. Johnnyt

It would be eye opening to follow all the PPV streams for a year and see what % of them have trouble by a good % of those that bought them.

Eye opening for you, I'm thinking. Because you think it's like 40 or 80 percent and it's less than 5. It's just that those few are pretty vocal, and some get so frustrated they say outrageous attention-being shit like streamers are shady con men and scammers.

I've been buying these things since early TAR matches.
The ones who have problems are usually not following the troubleshooting suggestions correctly and using out of date software. It's been years since I had a stream that was stuttering and couldn't be fixed.

Watched most of the matches yesterday for the 14.1 out of Steinway. The stream was excellent the whole day. I watched most all day with the exception of probably the last half of the Fulcher v Lee Van Cleef match. Pretty good commentary and good deal for $15.

I've also been streaming since Tar and Johnny T is correct. What really ticks me off is when guys like Big Truck say its my problem when everyone in the chat room is complaining. I have fiber to my house with 30mb down been IT engineer for 30 years and know bandwidth. I also have a $200 router. I can play 2 or 3 480p movies without a hitch yet I get lags and its my problem from the pool streamers. Some have also posted it could be anywhere on the internet problem. This could at times be the case. But like another poster stated. Look in the chats. If everyone is complaining its the streamers fault.

If CW had a good stream, he must have got lucky. His are unwatchable most of the time. Johnnyt
