PRA (WNT governing body) suspends and investigates Kyle Amoroto for match fixing

So the overall pool authority WPA did not suspend him while WNT PRA suspended him. Why the inconsistency?

Likely Marboys (or other filipino financier) and WNT are contracted, and wanting to better shape the game in their image in the region.

If I were running an international sanctioning body, I'd avoid looking into "interesting happenings" in private money matches. A vast vat of worms.

I kinda look at it like this. Matchroom likes to court betting sites as sponsors. They need a squeaky clean reputation when it comes unethical gambling behaviors. So it’s probably very clearly articulated in their player contracts that any alleged misconduct on that front will be handled by the PRA regardless if it’s a WNT sanctioned event or not. Which means if you’re going to be a dirty pool player (and perhaps many are) the biggest sin you can commit is getting caught/outed.
