Practice practice practice

The Power of the Pause:
Think of Performance, Carnegie Hall. The timing of the presentation. Just like the telling of the joke. It's all in the timing.
50's slow music fits easily with the Slow Roll.
Standing upright taken to the limit is one handed. Ronnie Allen sank a one handed spot shot with no rail. One attempt for all the money in Whitey's Tacoma room. When I can do that I might .....uh, well can't fathom that....yet😉

Whew, after 6 minutes.... I got close!🤪. Oh so close. Cue ball reaching the rail ever so slow. Rebound of 1/8".
The 95 lb bag of concrete got a complaint from the lower back. Hence the one handed day.😉
Damn I remember doing 85 -120 (a shift) bags of fertilizer that went to the fire retardant particle board. Heck they even found 120lb bags a couple times.

Ah Honey, Sugar.... put a little sugar on it... by dancing around the table. Easy to do in private. But helping with practice The Mindset.

Fun da Mentals: Part of the fun is being able to laugh at myself.
So I definitely need therapy, however if it's not fun, I can find a way to get the therapeutic other than on the table.🤷
It's just plain silly to call it anything other than Re Creation.
My Competition Left vs Right is my best approximate of tournament.

Gotta brag: The competition this morning quickly went to the one handed spot shot. With pocket ball with rail giving a retry. No Rail = victory. Otherwise just keep score of made shots.
The Left (weaker) made 4 in a row with the fourth being....No Rail.
What a way to start the t!🎉

"He command his cue ball". Was the compliment I overheard when the Ugandan guards were learning to play pool.
A rock and a stick is all he had for a month. He became The Australian Billiards Champion. His tombstone is a full size table of stone. Guess he did good at it.🤷
Oops must have been a billiards table.

One ball gives me the chance to study the geometry of the table. Plenty of ways to stay amused.

It's so easy to overlook the study and double down on repetition.
I am sure that Mink will study the video and be even stronger next time.
The formula is study, practice, study etc.

Document of practice: Should be,
Address
Step
Set bridge
Shoot
Notice the sunglasses.
From address to stance is when the little bird aims the cue. Barry Stark teaches the grip that is World Class. For me it's the index finger thumb OK position that provides the security. One handed practice is a strong tool.

Well kind of wandering there. One handed really forces the early alignment.
My practice with the hat and sunglasses eliminate the tendency to look.....uh just one more time. The visual duck waddle. With me shooting looking at the cue ball and focused on precision of velocity as the gun has been aimed and foundation set with mechanics at optimal.
Well the no peek practice yielded my first 3 point shot.🎉(by the right)
Balls remain touching for the Perpetual Kiss.
True conservation of energy that produces my best results. The Auto Pilot.....my slow game is not really as slow as it feels to my opponent when he is squirming in the chair.🤷
By giving each step it's due then trust.. . I get my best results. I can place the final focus on velocity.
The Slow Kiss Scotch race to 10's the game. One point for kiss. Two points if within a butt(cue) and Three points for the Perpetual Kiss.

My therapy session can end at any time.
My Slow Kiss Scotch produced an 11-10 victory with the left producing a 2 point shot after the right hit 10 with a single.
So the balls are set for the Slow Chase. Lefty has 1 and credit for opening kiss and first shot. As soon as the first ball is pocketed, I keep 2 on the table. The Slow Chase provides additional 2 points for a hanger and 3 for the Natural Hanger (no rail), along with the standard points up to and including the Unicorn. The hanger points are in deference to the left side disability.

Oh yeah I did not reenforce the holding the Little Bird at the balance point.

I have seen the light vs tutch E feel E.
My favorite is after ready, aim, I close my eyes and touch the cue ball.

The Sales Pitch:
Master the Slow Kiss...it can "make a Nun take her clothes off........no, no, no it can make a whole convent take their clothes off." (Credit Mike Dooley).
Mike's Super Power was the Double Kiss.
Double Kiss Dooley challenged Nick Varner , to a quick pass time dual of double kiss for $100. Nick accepted.
The Challenge consisted of 6 object balls placed at a set distance off the rail at each of the side diamonds at the foot. Take ball in hand and double kiss them in. Counting strokes and playing the cue ball as it lies.
Mike went first and did it in 6 strokes. Nick just reached in his pocket.🤷

Gotta love it when a situation matches a practice shot so well.

On the 8 ball, I choose the cross side bank. It gives the safe cue ball near the top right corner.
Gotta love the practice. The 8 dropped and cue ball finished In The Jaws. I got lucky.🤷

The league (keep the wife happy), consists of 3 games of 8 ball and then 3 of 9 ball.
My final game of 9 ball after losing the first 2, had me playing a safety that gave me ball in hand on the 4. This gave me another shot that I practiced real good. The straight combination.
