Practice practice practice

The league (keep the wife happy), consists of 3 games of 8 ball and then 3 of 9 ball.
My final game of 9 ball after losing the first 2, had me playing a safety that gave me ball in hand on the 4. This gave me another shot that I practiced real good. The straight combination.
Oops wrong picture.

Set it perfect straight and then ignore the 4. Well that way when I looked at object ball last. 🤷 Still work looking at the point of contact on the cue ball to draw it back to the head rail.

Classified Info: Classify it as uh The Duck Bill.
Opening with the slow kiss, I wear the baseball cap that has the bill at table light lower edge. After setting the stance I lose the object ball just before the bridge touches the table. Forced Trust.
My Mosconi stance. Allow precise focus on the striking of the cue ball.
Focus on the precision of each step of The Dance, has led to my second Eternal Kiss. Lefty of course.🤷 What a Lucky Guy.

At my age... the Slow Kiss can be my whole morning session.
I would call it my fit ness program. A combination of Yoga, Tai Chi, Funky GrampaFunky Grampa Dancing. Hour?, Half hour? Whatever it takes.
"What ever it takes" coming from Multiplicity.Multiplicity Trailer or should it be Modular?

Oscar Dominguez vs John Morra is a match that hits home with me. John switched hands from right to Lefty and Oscar when asked if he looked at the cue ball last, replied "Why would I look anywhere else?"
John just hit an extremely difficult jump... . right handed.🤷

Taking it to competition: The slow part at the end works for me. Savory last two thoughts.
Watch the tip go through the ball and Wait for the ring finger to take the shot.
"Take the shot" is used by Barry Stark. Good Stuff.👍

Work on what you do bad to improve that skill like Kicking.

Working on it accomplishes more then crying 😰 about it.

Kicking is a skill that Efren brought to the 9 ball game, at a level....far far above the competition.
I like kick practice because the cue balls reaction off the rail can be changed with the slightest variation in velocity and rotation of the ball.
Watching the U S Open 9 Ball, has shown the importance of practicing the break. My favorite practice is .....3 ball. Break and then kick them in. Or catch and recycling is what I did to save the quarter.😉 Back in the Day I was given the Kicks Like A Mule handle in the ring game.

Keep it Under Your Hat: I am finding the baseball cap an excellent tool.
It's a Fitness Program, not practice 😉.
The prescription is; Wear the hat at an elevation that gives view of object ball until bridge is set.
No up and down of the neck. Staying at shoot elevation.

Watching the cue contact with the ball is the only Show available. I am experiencing unexpected accurate speed control.
Turning the controls over to the Feel, has results of personal best records.🤷
The Frog is a favorite form. Catching baseball taught me The Frog. So at address the physical training has me squat to table elevation and sight the line. Reminds self of urge to jump up on a shot. Must be under control.😉

Ships Log:
Taking the Practice Form to be competition.
Being able to play when Nervy, was my challenge in the White Spot 9 Ball Academy. $5 a week school ing.🤷
My conclusion and solution was........The Basics 🤷 The More I do solid and mechanical simple the best I do. Solid foundation and simple repeatable mechanics can yield a near miss rather than failure. Giving time for leadership to Right The Ship.
My no look practice is for the times in competition when I am going blind 🤷🤷.
Tight hand is usually the verdict after contemplating. More fun contemplating as I stand chalking rather than sitting.

Putting On A Play is the next chapter. When competition playing. Enjoy the Performance. Reaching for the $20 shot, just showing off. Did I mention my breakandrun against Steve Mizerak?😉

The Power of the Billiards: Willie Hoppe book is a requirement.
Still feeling the glow of the billiard on the 9 from the 1. The fun part of 9 ball. In the day, I played lots of ring games. 1 and 2 on the 5 and 9. Run the rack and all unscrew. Billiard early 9 and never run more than 3 balls without moving the cheese .🤷

The camera work on Selby's miss was telling. From directly behind looking down the cue. 2-2 now. Was replayed once, for emphasis?

Therapy ongoing:
McGill and Zhou is interesting. Glad I got the TV installed in the shop.
The complete coverage has incredible value even minus the comments. They are working on it.🤷
The purity of the form I am seeing in Robertson and Zhou is interesting. My picks for finals.

Zhou looking like a Mini-Ronnie. I would guess he has studied under Ronnie. Just a guess.😉
Study study study.
