Practice practice practice

Well Mark Allen kept Lisowski from the finals with Ding. Just wow: Mark Allen went down 6-1 then finished the early session 6-2 going to 10. He came back in the evening session to win 10-7!
After the early session O'Sullivan said of Mark.

'NEVER SEEN ANYONE PLAY SO BAD'

A different tune after the evening session.😉
After match interview
Mark giving insight into his mental half.(Half the game is 85% mental)

Ships Log: Convalescence is my strategy this week. On Sunday after feeling a slight tickle and dry cough for a day, I used the home test for Covid. It was positive. While the symptoms were and remaining mild I am taking it seriously. I have been vaccinated and boosted but neglected the latest booster.
Before taking the test over the weekend I had contemplated the lack of masks in social situations and all the sports events that now I could not even find one mask on viewing. I too had quite wearing one.
Isolation and convalescing are job one and two now. My research indicates that condition can change from mild to serious very quickly. I have taken that so seriously that I have not uncovered the table since the test. Devotion to the flu regimen of rest and fluids. Seems like I am peeing every 10 minutes.😉 And posting to azbilliards even more frequently.🤷 Oh well time for more chicken soup.

Get back on yer feet as soon as ya can. Rust collects quickly in the joints at our age. chucklin'

hank

Ships Log: Missed jury duty this morning, as Covid still testing positive. Condition is near negligible and has been mild for the one week convalescent. My absence from the practice table should be evidence of how serious I take the Covid. I have dedicated myself to the healing and or defense against the intruders. Hopefully the neglect of the last booster won't bite me. My internet search ing has indicated that it can go from mild to critical abruptly. Kind of like playing pool.
Get ahead, go to cruise, give them a breath.....wonder how it is that they have Me down.🤷

Besides fasting works to clear the system.
Walking back to the cold open and the importance of same. I caution to just get the last 2 steps right. I mean if I can master a 3 step dance.... Besides at my age ..start with 2 and if that works I will try to remember the steps previous.🤷
Nah if I can open with a double. Don't look the gift horse in the mouth.
Focus on the Yoga and physical condition, flexing and stretching

Pop quiz selfie: Wat are the last 2?
1. Inhale exhale
2. Left Right
3. Finger and Eye
Be prepared to justify all 3 in a dissertation.😉

I knew I was getting old when....Snap Crackle Pop became The Whole E Trinity. Please excuse my passive aggressive attempt at Moaning 🤷
Ok left right left right back to the table and try again.😉

2: placement of the left and right foot into stance. Have to have a strong foundation first.
3. For me, it's bridging and looking at the point I am aiming on the cue ball, then to the object ball, and back to the cue ball. Usually I'm looking at the cue ball on the final stroke as I already know the exact place (and path to it) I need to hit the OB before I even do #2 (moving the physical body into proper position, stroke etc). I mainly play bank pool 90% of the time, so I see the angle if I will need to stiffen or throw the ball, etc before I get down into position. So if we use the order of 1-3, finger and eye for me would be the bridge and looking between the 2 points (CueBall and ObjectBall).

1. inhaling and exhaling a THC vape cart before taking a shot, which we all do at the poolhall I play in Denver.

Oh wow! I wanna sit next to you. Hope you don't mind if I copy off your paper.😉👍

Hopefully it isn't too late for an amendment to my answer. Ah la Barry Stark...furl unfurl. I mean vice versa.

Observation via watching as taught by Yogi.😉
By watching the path and rotation the cue ball takes upon separation from tip. Well when focused, I am able to observe the interaction of cue ball contact with object ball. Which gives me valuable feedback. First being the location of the striking and second would be the rotation or lack thereof imparted to the object ball.

My practice, well morning fitness sans chalk gives me the opportunity to experiment with and observation of the results of the application of the minute variation from center ball. Not to mention helping with the house keeping and longevity of the cloth and balls.

Gotta have a plan: Can't count the times that the lack of a complete plan led to less than adequate performance.
Some of my greatest successful were accomplished when my life plan was clear and pleasurable (well as much as the law allows).
So taking it to the table; Sparring with an equal can indeed improve Step 1- Make the plan. Take whatever time is needed. I ain't Ronnie.
Some might call it The Sleeper Hold.

The foresight then the patience. Sometimes I need to revisit the plan after every shot.😉
Then it becomes the sleeper. I am in favor of shot clock.

The 147 according to Judd. Ronnie has predicted a left handed 147. Watching for it. He's just crazy enough to take a run at it in competition.🤷 I can only hope.

One time in Bandcamp..... I was trying the thin cut to the corner missed it completely and kicked it into the other corner. Works great in 9-ball. In 8-ball playing Kenny Dodd, he was cutting the 8 to the corner and did just that. It looked so good I wondered if I had missed the call. When he said, "noo" I almost felt guilty for asking.🤷 I did end up coming back to win the set.

The three ball break is my one for all the money(practice) shot. Still have to hit it on my table. Was able to get an ace on the 7' Diamond in the BCAPL event.
Which is proof of concept.

Ships Log: 10/11 days since initial contract with Covid. Seems I am blowing it out my ass.
Cold Open ... Lefty open with 7 right missed speed attempt at double 7- love. On to the Chase.

I learned to love being lead off hitter in Little League. At 8 my first year accomplish was getting the bat on the ball to drive a dribble to the first baseman. Period. It was Charley Downen, he pitched a perfect game and I was the only player to involve another player of his team in the play. We tied for second behind them. Was proud.
My therapy theory is.... instead of The Electric Chair it can be the uh lounge? Comfort station? Meditation station is my pick.😁
Giving me and myself every chance, well if I get a chance. To stride back into the spotlight. Personal best records are always available.
Personal training is using this post as a distraction. I always said, "I can't talk and shoot" , well that's not necessarily accurate. Am practicing same with attention focus practice.

The Fear of Flying. Butch Cassidy and Sundance. Don't fear drowning.🤷
Watching the rhythm and sequence of Ronnie O'Sullivan's fast dance.
Confidence, know that it can work if I let it. Conservative use of energy to allow only one look.
With the performance following the script, it's a work of art.
While he creates mural s. I can settle for amusing doodles.🤷
