7th Heaven, Lefty closed station 2 with a 7. Plus a 14-9 lead.
The elevation of the cue tip and camera angle make for an optical illusion. Actually aimed just below the second diamond.
Ahh hah, the shadow shows. Cause "The Shadow Knows"
Well that was fun. Right closed the station with an 8 by overcuting and leaving the 14 in the hole. So the super challenge of cut it in the side with bonus for scratch in the corner. Well Right made the cut and missed the scratch by a good 2 inches.
Time to take on the day.
Z shot O the day.To the 12 ball 2 rails is proving the soundness of what station 1 provides as skill. Setting the foundation to shoot the 2 rail bank one handed. Then set the vridge bridge makes it a simple shot. Right????
Yeah! Lefty prospects the 4 railer to the 15 on the King pad. Right follows his near miss with a 6 to go ahead by 12. Lefty says, "double the bet."
It was just a snick leaving the 15 on the pad but a foot long with the white. Game On!
Right lays in a six and chirps, "9 is fine, my lead that is.
The blank it E blank shots both missing by just That much. Oh what fun.
This shot has me thinking, uh Moe Norman . A flat ball I think of or even knuckle ball. It's fun comparing the spin vs the angle in for moving the shot results.
Left makes a 6 and chortles " trail by 3 is good with me. Double up."
Right has nothing, so Lefty replies with a 7 from heaven. "I lead by 4.....shut the door."
Right replies with a 6. "I lead by 2 so F You. Did you think this would be easy?"
Lefty must be queasy. Blanks to Right reply of 6 to lead by 8. 10 ahead, remember?
Good morning. Wednesday 9.13.23.
Had a disappointing miss on the 8 ball playing leagues last night. The honest analysis is the important thing now.
Sorting through the excuses first. Then try to find the Truth. Well it was my only loss. And I am a Big boy. Right? Okay I feel better now.
And How! Right lays in a 10 at station 1 going to the teal stripe 10 ball. That's a maximum, definitely a maximum. Lefty serves 3-14 going 2 or more to the red stripe 11.
It was my delicate touch plus a touch of luck that won the other 5 games. The stick and balls wouldn't quite close back together but show the crotch shot that gives the best chance one handed.
Lefty plays Moe Norman and proves the effect of the flat ball(center ball). Hits the 3 railer for a total of 6 to 21 this could be fun.
Indeed it's interesting. Testing has me exploring the air brakes, well that's my Goofy name for using counter english. Not running but braking spin. That experiment shows that I can get 4 rails by getting beyond the side on rail 3 to get to the bottom rail and back door the 8. Interesting and good therapy. Still grumbling quietly about last night's 8 ball.
Right finally hits the 4 railer for a 7. In heaven. It was oh so close to a 10. Lefty conceded the win.
Look out day, here I come.
Baby steps: If you want to Kick Like a Mule. First Find your balance.(gotta be able to stand before run) THE BALANCE point of the cue is the first step for me. As I rise from my seat, I find the balance point of the cue and carry it that way.
Simple baby kick to the red 3. 4 point shot closes that station with a 4 point shot. Time to find 2 or more to the teal 2. 4 serving 11.
Lefty thought to go 3 rails out of the corner to the 2 ball. The idea was good and the miss calculated angles gave the Right a road map to lay in an 8 point station closer. First Shot!!!.
Smuggly handing the cue to Lefty, "After you, try and find 4 to the orange 5 on the King pad. I mean we just did 3 so 4 is the challenge."
"The 3 points for kissing missed by a RCH. Could have had an 11." Is the Right grumble as the cue is transfered.
4 serving 19.
A study in the short cocked hat. 4 rails to the 5 on the King pad. Using the cocked hat program, just bring it in short and snuggle up to the back of the 5. Sounds easy. Will certainly be fun.
Yesterday was an interesting study. Psychology of the game, became obvious watching Ronnie O'sullivan playing Mark Selby. That took the place of my morning workout on the table.
The one hour drive to Kingman gave me time for contemplating. Was still sorting the missed 8 ball and how to fix the flaw. My answer and solution will be tested next week. (my answer and solution involves the relaxation of the Ring finger on the draw back) It's one thing finding the answer, it's another to employ the solution when under pressure and tending toward brain dead.
Watching Brecel vs Robertson at Shanghai provides a chance to learn from their missed shots along with the incredible precision each is capable of.
Seeing how Brecel responds to pressure..
..103 clearance. Should provide real fireworks in the finals with Ronnie tomorrow .
