Practice practice practice

"It's what's between the ears. " Is a favorite from this morning commentary.
Staying relaxed under pressure is a Jui Jitsu like talent.

Spoiler alert. 😉
Stephen Hendry said:
For snooker players the most difficult thing is hitting the ball in the middle.
Well at the end of this conversation, he closes with that statement. I would amend it to say the difficulty is in finding the middle and using that knowledge to precisely strike the cueball.

Lagging behind 😉 So in order to catchup, after completing the Kicks Like A Mule Challenge The maintenance mechanic has me slow rolling balls while standing upright as the lower back is calling time out. 😉
The attention to an accurate strike to the cueball is critical, as slightest rotation variations changes the roll.

The Anaconda has a good Slow Game. 🤷‍♂️

Edit: Relaxation starting with the Ring finger, is working well in practice. Hope it holds up in competition. 😉

Brain Teaser: Leaving the pads as they lay after the Mule. All remains the same. Shoot the object balls in rotation. Scratched balls return tu appropriate pad. At completion of run, reload the king pad and break and run. Must keep same cueball is my variation. 😉 Select cueball at break.

Funny thing is happening: I am navigating the Mule more quickly each morning. With the prescribed time of 1 to 1 and a half hour for therapy. Hmmmmm?:headscratch: now what?

Oh almost forgot the Trophy photo. Followed the Diamond system from Willie Hoppie to go 3 rails to the dirt color 6 ball on the King pad. It's a 12 point maximum executed by the Right. The 2 ball is the 1 rail kick and the 1 ball was 2 rail kick. The cue lays over the launch pad.
Well quiting early is allowed as we have league tonight. 😉

Wednesday Sept 20, 2023: The morning after the night before. 😉 We had some good recreation at league. Good competition but no victory. Yet!

A fun 3rd station shot . 3 rails that requires corner work. Coming nice and close to the corner with the stiffen it stuff on the ball.

Feeling fine, Right closed it with a 9. Must be time to go explore for salvage. Well joy riding is another way to put it. 🤷‍♂️

Gotta love The First Time. 😉
Lefty just committed a first shot o the day Maximum. Well a baby shot but still. Shrug a first. A 10 point shot to the plum color 4 ball. Now on to the illustration of 2 to the red 3 ball. Now we get a bridge but kind of hard to top what Lefty did, one handed, treetopped and uphill both ways. 😉

The part of the 2 rails to the 3 that I enjoy is like doing the scales. Go up and down the rail and then change the rotation on the cueball to effect a hit. Even variation in the speed changes the angles. What fun! With the bonus physical therapy. The changing weather gives notice of old injuries. 😉 🤷‍♂️

That was fun son. Right chortles after collecting the 9 is fine shot to make the score 12-17 in Lefty's favor. Now to find 3 or more to the brown 7 on the King pad.

Found a fun shot to the brown 7. Starting with the 3 rail formula from Willie Hoppie. Just beyond the side should get a hit. 4.5 -.5 = 4. The side pocket so manipulate the rotation is my self to self coaching. 🤷‍♂️

Lefty is the first to score. With a 4! Not enough to close the station but proof of concept. 🤷‍♂️ Right serving 12-21.

With Right racking up 4s and a 3 for 8 point lead, Lefty finally finds a 6 and conceded, the 6 was just oh so close to a maximum. Always a good day for therapy. Both physical and mental.

arted the morning with a baby bank. Showed me how far off I could be on such a simple measurement. Interesting 😉
Lefty claims unsportsmanlike after Right takes a 14 love lead. The bonus part was the position was natural for Right and hampered by physical disabilities of Lefty. "However it was good therapy"
the Right quips. Followed by, "It will feel better when it quits hurtin'."
Grrrrr....oh what fun.

Lefty insisted on the Trophy picture. 6 point buck. 2 rails and both on the pad. He only trails 10-19 now. To find 3 rails or more to the King ball ups color 7ball.

Lefty picked it.

Right closed it with an 8 point shot by a thin snick to the inside that left the 7 in the king hole. Kind of fun. Game set and match. Now for the remodel bathroom. 🤷‍♂️

Playing the shot backwards is basic knowledge I got from Grady Mathews.

Take the line, pocket through object ball to the rail. That's where I want to strike the rail. I measure the angle and calculate any adjustments. Followed Hoppe and make adjustments on the vertical first.
Funny how a kicked in 8 ball can deflate an opponent. Rah rah ree kick Emin the balls. 😉

After a couple of diversion kicks to pocket that yielded 1 point shots. Right settled down to a 6 point station closer. Now 2 rails to the 11 ball. Lefty service 2-13.

Lefty replied, "I'm felling it. I'm alive it's a 5. Right serving 14-7.
Rights 5 point reply makes it 19-7. Prepare for Heaven.
Lefty has 5 more for a 19-12 score.
Playing with the weight of the shot is a game builder. I got to lift weights on the 2 railers for a while. 😉 The good news is Lefty finally closed station 2 with a 5. Finding 3 or more to the black 8 on the King pad.
19 service 17.

Lefty provides proof of concept by missing long when on the verge of Unobtainium.

Raining now so moisture is a factor. With Tacoma/Seattle in my history, the moisture is a normal condition.
Oh gee Lefty found a 3 by knocking the 8 out of his tree. Feeling froggy Lefty takes the lead 20-19.
Whew what a workout. Right finally found a 5 by white finish on the pad, for a 2 point win. Hard for me to find the velocity and angles along with spin. Good fun but Grampa is ready for a break. 😉
