Practice practice practice

My fitness program had my crawling under the Ford F350 to add dual steering stabilizer s. Simple task with physical therapy bonus. Well that was the sales pitch.😉 Hopefully the end of the death wobble.
Leaving a little time to play 3 ball😉

The rehtorical drill? seems like a good use for the wandering puppy pads. Prepare for 8 ball is my justification.🤷

Strategy training.
8 ball back.
Equal number 5 for each set.
Look ing for position advantage, as in leverage. The Jiu Jitsu of 8 ball.
I like the solids for 6 ball over 15 ball after slight nudge
7 definitely has advantage over 9-11.
3-4 definitely prefer over 14-10.

The wild side says Billiard the 1 off the 4.
Conservative side says, lock the small set with 1 ball and put the other set in handcuffs.
Hmmmm.

Another trophy for Lefty. First shot of the morning session by Lefty one handed on the Puppy Pad.
I score it 3 for the 15 in the hole and 2 for Whitey on the pad and 3 for touching Ball. The Right was feeling fine with the opening 2! 8-2 going to 10. Has to be the rarest!

The Twist:
Lefty confession of treble hit on the Rarest at 10-4. Moved back to 2. Right service 4-2.😉
At 11-11(must win by 2 after) we moved into the Mosconi to 8.
4 inches of snow ❄️ changes the Routine, a little. Still the Cold Open.

Oh man, gonna need the Rules discussion.
Right takes it to 21 going to 19 with a 5 point shot. His count is 2 for white on the paper and 3 for 15 touching rail 🤷.
Grumble, grumble, yeah ok. 6 more as Ronnie should be a breeze. Yes we are getting those along with lightning while snowing.

Lefty gets warning for distraction. As we agreed to trailing player shooting upon return to table.
Let the record show that he's a Bait or and pretty good at it.🤷
Oh man he's done it again.

Well Lefty found another rare bird with a 4 point shot for both on the pad......Oh just missed it by this much.😁
Right hand prevailed by a 5 point margin. Time to go see if the dogs want to play in the snow.

Since it's so cold I found a shot that allows me to stand in the sun coming through the open door. 2 rails to any pad. Watching the snooker player skills with the type of shot points me to a weakness.😉
Since my morning is a fitness program and not the P word.🤷 Giving me lots of reps and warm fingers.

One rail to the 6 is a favorite. This challenge starts from the Mosconi stance. With time in the Crane while warming finger s. All part of the fitness.

Well...team tournament report:
Just the Facts Mam😉. Or perhaps the truth the whole truth and nothing but. So Help Me Gawd.
Agreed to the CSI team event, well as "community service"😉.
It was interesting and enjoyable at the end. The End.
Ok disclaimer, could get to be a long winded Gramps story.
In the beginning: I declined the opportunity to be on the team, at first just through lack of interest. However my wife negotiate on my behalf as We were slated for the Scotch Doubles. I agreed to play and gave the league level prep, knowing that if the team could make it to the final game..... I can produce. I will be warmer by then.😉
The team didn't make it but my final game was a Masterpiece, Master to Master battle that I Won🎉. They were on the hill and we needed a group ambulance 🤷.
The evidence can be found at the CSI on demand web site. Well it's broken right now.
Weirdest break I have ever seen in 8 ball(and I have seen quite a few 😉). My opponent broke, making a ball and With 4 or 5? balls coming to the head of the table and congregate in close proximity to the corner and only 1 was a stripe and it was trapped or contained, in handcuffs so to speak 😉. I knew I was playing Houdini, as I saw the escape he executed in his last game. He missed the the shot to secure the solids and allowed me to steal them. Was definitely the longest game of our match. Not slow play just good strong Judo. I didn't have a path out that I liked and he didn't have a break ball. Game on!! Just like playing one pocket.

The funny or good humor part was when my opponent was leaving the table he would say, "I know, 5 in the corner." Which I called on every safety shot. So I gave him my change up and called 3 to the corner. It wouldn't fit either.😉🤷
He had the 8 ball blocked and I didn't like the bank. So my strategy strategy was to get my two stray balls into the group hug, while forcing him to take a low percentage shot to untie the knot of balls.

How I got my monies worth:
First and well last..... It's recreation.
"On the fields of friendly strife are sown the seeds". Worth looking up😉
Even though it was just one game of 8 ball it was intense hand to hand combat and I still hadn't come down yesterday when posting. The mini tournament 😉. Mirrors the feeling the time in Seniors National 8 ball going to 6, I prevailed 6-5. After the match I looked the guy up in the CSI archives and found that he had finished 7-8 in the previous years Nationals 8 ball. Now the smile 😁, we passed in the hall the next morning hurry ing to tables. He pointed at me and said, "You won the Northwest Regionals" I 👉 and said, "You got 7-8 in the Nationals." Big Smiles.

Good morning, addition of variety to the Routine. Or perhaps giving the Routine the respect it deserves is sometimes a challenge. Oh the pain! Of missed routine shots. It makes me feel better seeing professional players doit.🤷 Then I remember how they make a lot more balls between missed shots.

My missed routine shots always goes to a cheated step.
Watch the ball go through the bat. Is what I was taught and it worked well. So the majority of my missed routine shots goes to not sticking around to watch the simple task to complete.

An aside: The hole reinforcement rings were an aid I experiment with and rejected. Part of my morning workout that exercise the mental is measured by eye. Besides I want the flavor of the practice shot to Trump actual placement.
My Puppy Pad multi placement template tool will do everything the glue down holes do and a lot more.🤷
