The Power of a Beautiful Mind.
Or perhaps how to control the power of the mind.
So Yeah, that's the ticket. That's what I would look for, not in an instructor though, I want a Coach.
Ronnie has spoken to employing a mental coach.
My mental coach notes indicate that when I feel good about what I am doing in life ......I play my best. So when I am
Relaxed
confident
And creative
I can achieve well, far far above.. .average.

My Basic training Challenge has evolved. Well flexible is good in life. My addition of the squat to aim step has already paid interest.

The Official uh new Official formation puts the alien pads on grid points. With one rail then 2 rail kicks to the wing balls. I had an uh Found an interesting Challenge in the head spot to foot spot back door kick. I have proclaimed 3 in a row as warrant a title. So following the prescription Right opens with the Kick to the corner. The picture is uh The Remains. The distance the cue ball continued through the 15 is in relation to the fact that the 15 just dripped into the pocket.

So the follow up is ....uh no I didn't make 3 in a row. I did however come close 😉 Making it a fun challenge. I think a total of 3 or uh a race to 3 Lefty vs Right. Ready set go.

That shows it took me 45 minutes to complete the race to 3. The Right prevailing 3-1 and using 3 pockets is proof of the difficulty. Tommow's Challenge will be to improve on the time. 🤷‍♂️

"Having something to fall back on." Are my words and now confirmed by Kyren. My exact feelings after the 6 week course. The basics and rebuilding from the ground up with optimal mechanical advantages.
Can't wait to hear the rest.

Kicking in the Back Door is an amusing and game building challenge. Habit building might be more appropriate. This Challenge gives me much needed work on the grip. The grip as taught by Barry Stark. The ring finger trigger is worth making a habit. The old index finger habit can still surface in high pressure situations. So the reps required to accomplish the task are body building. The power contained in the ring finger puts me in mind of the power in Bruce Lee's 1 inch punch. It's an analogous comparison but fits my brain. The power in the ring finger is not obvious it is how the top snooker players can put incredible power in a shot with an apparently effortless stroke.
I find that I am improving the finesse I can apply to the stroke. The practice has me noticing even the slightest variation from the recipe. So a brief analysis of how and why then start over.

Shot O the Day: 4 rails to the 9 ball, in the third position of the Delta Formation.

The slightest variation in the strike to the white changes the path significantly. No Chalk.

Stephen Hendry speaks of Discipline, relating to seting the goal and starting over after a near completion. I hope to be inserting that in required points to close a station both in total and finishing shot must be or exceed 3 on the first station. 4 on the second and a 5 point shot to finish the exercise. I seek a one hour workout.

Are the daily trilogy:
Stephen speaking to Discipline really surprised me.
Sir! The Discipline which makes the soldiers of a free country reliable in battle, is not to be gained by harsh or tyrannical treatment. On the contrary such treatment is more likely to destroy than to make an Army.
Had to let that out. It's what I would be reciting during the most strenuous training. Full volume of course.

Evolution or growth or both?
Treetopped takes me back to my "acts of daring" as a Yute (you know a young man). We would climb the young trees and then see how far we could swing them. In the beginning we kept them small. 😉
So anyway the first form in the Delta is to get balanced and centered or centered then balanced.
Caution! Adherence to The Delta Formation program for an hour a day for a week, could create Super Power.
The second form with a bridge is the next step and precision followed routine is my first thought. The physical therapy needs the reps so missed shots are embraced then analyze. No emotion, just discipline or maybe determination.

The 3 p's of practice practice practice. Building habits.
"On the fields of friendly strife are sown the seeds that On later dates and later fields, will bear the fruits of victory. " SIR!
The look on the opponents face, when I kick it in for the win....is priceless.
My left vs right competition started with a huge spot. (Picture Pretty Woman with hands spread) HUGE. Now they play even. Things that make you say, "Hmmmmm".
"Habits are harder to break than they are to make." Not sure if the quote is my original or well probably not. It didn't take long to figure it out.

Lefty insisted on a Trophy picture. Trailing by 12 points Lefty hits a 12 point (almost) Maximum shot.
4 for the rails
Black in the 5 hole and kissing for 3 more. 13 possible with both in 3 holes or white over the pad with black in the 5 hole.
The Trophy O the Day

Both content to finish in a draw..🤷‍♂️

This is proving to be a favorite. Really requires me to follow my process(dance). Each step executed to precision leads to success. With the influence the ring finger brings to the equation becoming obvious. The variation in the pressure applied by the fingers is enlightening. With the slightest variation changing the result significantly.

Note to Self: Stop Cheatin! Yourself.
I confess, guilty of cheating, Your Honor. I have not been faithfully following The Program. To properly lock in the program, I need to Air Chalk. Take it out and perform the action, just not allowing it to touch the tip.
Ronnie appears to use the chalking as a marker. Marking time was something I wasn't good at in my early piano lessons. Hmmmmm, I could have done better. Baseball was my interest at that time. 😉

That's the part of shooting a repetitive layout that shorts the training. The standing square and making the plan. That's the marking time with the chalk. Seems like times I have seen quite a different tempo in Ronnie, depending on the difficulty of the situation. Not putting the chalk back until the plan is complete and confirmed.
Noticed the beginning of a trail on the cloth, so time to change the layout. Shuffle the deck. Move the targets and the launch points.

Howdy;

I tried the white circles (aka paper A$$holes), then it dawned on me that in pool
ya NEVER shoot the same exact shot. They are never the same. so I just use "good
enough to be called close" for placement of balls for different routines. Now the 'L'
and circle of balls inna middle, well they serve their purpose and get set up as they
need to be. Otherwise, somewhere within a balls width works for me. Angles change
but not enough to make it an entirely different shot. YMMV. chucklin'

I concur 😉. My justification for the alien pads is they serve as targets along with place holders.
When doing the 4 railer the launch pad often gets displaced. Sometimes I consider that a plus and play it as it lays. If I do reposition it I use the 'in the neighborhood' program. It's main function as a launch platform is to save the cloth. 🤷‍♂️

Have Fun: Finding the fun is looking for the uplifting feelings. Accomplishments give the uplifting. The hazard is thinking I am at the top and gazing around. It can go from the uplift in the beginning then the oh shit as my opponent runs out. k:
In the beginning, well the treetopped in the Delta is all about balance. Almost 😉 the mechanical structure must be sound as well.
The Joy of Treetops: I find amusement in slight variations in the firing mechanics. My technique was inspired by my observation of Cole. Perhaps related to my knowledge of tree falling as well. 😉 l will call it Body Shots. I confess to plagiarism but can't admit to where I heard it.

The natural progression to using a bridge and standing upright is the reward! Well sort of. 🤷‍♂️ Providing another more advanced problem with added geometry. Yet Providing the relief of the bridge and ability to use the firing mechanics as taught by Barry Stark. If I hit it good I feel good. The points system allows for the mental exercise of keeping the score right when in the zone. I saw a top player miss a dime for a 9 ball break. At $10 a game he made 4 in a row with his donor racking. He was giggles and didn't move the marker. 🤷‍♂️

The final station is where I refine my absolute precision in the strike to the cueball. The current 4 rail solution is entertaining and edumacational. Like stroping the razor.
Varying the layout for the challenge is My solution as soon as I start to see cow trails on the cloth. The absence of chalk in the exercise helps hone the razor plus wears less on the cloth. 🤷‍♂️
