Just trying out the wei table for the first time and thought I’d post a 1-hole shot that won me 20 bucks yesterday. My pocket is marked A and I needed one to win. The carom off the first ball worked perfectly. The pool gods were running their fingers through my hair as I watched the second ball roll down the foot rail to score my last ball. Yah me! I’ve intentionally practiced this carom and used it in 9-ball as well. Not as low percentage as you may think. I must admit I am Irish, so that may have had something to do with it. lol

Yeah, that shot comes up more often than a lot of people think.... that was a great shot and a long way to hug the rail for that ball!

Where in TX are you located?

Im down in Houston. I'll be at the 1-pocket, 9-ball events at Cue and Cushion tonight thru Sun. Heard thru the grapevine that Joyner is in town but I'm not sure. If he is, he'll be at Cue and Cushion tonight for sure for the 1P tourney. More than likely Jeremy and Hillbilly will be there too. Sylver too if we're lucky; however, i've never seen Sylver play 1P. Do you live around Houston too?

I'm actually in the Austin area. Sylver plays some great 1p! Must be nice to constantly have those larger tournaments there, I think Austin sucks for the tournament scene...
 
Nice shot Poolnut. Last night in league, I had this shot come up that I didn't think I could make but tried it anyway. I hooked myself and was left with the 8-ball about 1 diamond away from the corner. It was a very low percentage shot but I figured I'd go for it since it was my last game.

I think the same thing about Dallas sometimes. When are you going to make it up here Ross??

Nice shot yourself! I think the pro way to go is 4 rails, like this- assuming you cant go to the side first:

Austin, huh? The next season of the Fast Eddies Tour hasn't come out yet, but next season I'm looking forward to jumping on the Tour and drive around Texas. Hope to run into you in Austin sooner or later.

wow, that was ambitious! I think I would've tried something more like this:

Yeah, that is pretty much the only tourney that we have, and it's more in Houston and SA than it is here.... Let me know if you are ever in the area!

Too bad I'm not a banking legend like some of you guys. I probably would've tried that, but I really had nothing to lose.

I hope to run into you at one of the Fast Eddie's stops Poolnut. I plan on playing in a few of them this coming year.
 
Im sure we'll meet JJ. I've already planned to try to do the entire tour next year. I'm really excited about it and I've already got permission from the little lady. lol
 
All I see is a bunch of characters, not the table - is there something special I need to do? Thanks.
